yami's real name is seijin. he had a twin brother named kyoi.they were members of a noble family who had a tradition that when a child is born, a fortune teller must determine their fate or destiny.
when they were born, the fortune teller held yami and said " this child is full of light and purity, he will surely bring honor to our clan. you shall name him seijin *which means holy or saint*
then he held kyoi and immediately put him down. then the fortune teller said " that child is full of darkness! he will only bring disaster to our clan! we cannot dispose him for we shall be doing a severe sin so we must isolate him. he must never come near seijin! He shall be kyoi * which means threat* ".
yami was treated like a prince. everyone admired him, loved him and protected him. kyoi on the other hand, is treated like a monster. locked up inside his room, he is only able to go outside once a week. he is still treated nicely and no one mistreats him but it was far beyond the way they treated yami. " were twins and yet they look at me like im a complete monster." kyoi thought. yami knew about his twins existence. he gets upset every time people talked horrible things about kyoi. he loved his brother. he would mostly sneak in his brothers room and played with him. he'd bring him his toys and taught him a lot of things that kyoi never knew about. when his parents would go somewhere for family matters, yami would sneak in his brothers room and sleep with him because kyoi told him that he was afraid of being alone in the dark.
" i'll always be by your side no matter what others think!" yami said while smiling at kyoi. he knew kyoi wasnt evil. he was very gentle, nice and quiet. he was even more kind than yami. " n-nii.san, w-will you do me a favor?" " oh sure! what is it?" yami replied with a smile " c-can we switch places?" yami was shocked at his brothers request. " i- - want to experience being treated like a prince too! how it feels to be loved by everyone and be appreciated that i was born.." yami almost burst out to tears hearing that from his brother. " OKAY!" he replied with a big smile " r-really??? are you okay with it?" " yep. its fine since ive already experienced being treated like a prince, so now it should your turn!" kyoi smiled and hugged yami " THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!"
yami was unsure of his decision, but it made kyoi happy so he was fine with it.the next day kyoi pretended to be yami and yami pretended to be kyoi." its going to be fine. a little isolation is okay right? " yami thought.day after day he began to feel how lonely and unwanted his brother was.it seemed like he couldnt take it anymore and wanted to switch back but seeing his brothers warm smile always seemed to stop him. " i shouldnt be selfish.." yami thought.

suddenly, they noticed that their relatives were being killed. one by one, until the only ones left were yami, kyoi and their mother. they were evacuated to somewhere far from their old home. but just when things were going well, a man appeared. it was the killer. yami's mother grabbed kyoi and ran, yami was so afraid that he couldnt move at all.. " RUN! RUN!" he could hear his mother telling him to run but his body wouldnt move.. the killer smirked, raised his dagger and when he threw the knife at yami his mother appeared pushing him out of the way and unfortunately wasnt able to dodge it. the knife pierced through her stomach.. " MAMA!" yami shouted. his mother grabbed his hand, took him to another room, hugged him, smiled and said " im proud of you.. seijin.." yami was shocked. " y-you knew?" "of course.. your my son.. how could i not tell the difference between you and kyoi." her wound was deep " mama! your bleeding! c'mon! get on my back! i'll bring you to the hospital!" yami shouted " no... you.. need to be with kyoi.." yami started to cry " no! you need to be with us mama!" he hugged his mother " i'll stop the bleeding!! so please! dont leave me!"
" seijin... promise me you'll protect kyoi no matter what and always be with him.." she wiped his tears away " now, go through the window, get your brother and find the nearest police station." " what? NO! im not leaving you here!" his mother took a knife and gave to him " im counting on you.. i love you. please take good care of yourself." she hugged him for one last time and left the room. " MAMA!!!!!!!!" yami shouted, he was gonna go after her but the door was locked. he was very desperate to open the door. he kept shouting for his mother " BANG!"
he heard a gun shot... yami froze while different images appeared in his head. " run" he remebered. he must be there for his brother. he cant die here. then he heard foot step so he quickly went out the window, he saw kyoi hiding behind a trash can. he grabbed his hand and they ran.. ran far away from that place. then kyoi suddenly stopped. he couldnt run anymore, he was out of breath. the thought of kyoi getting killed crossed yami's mind. he was scared. he didnt want to be left alone. so he told kyoi to get on his back and he carried him all the way to the nearest police station. the police helped them and sent them to an orphanage.

" ... where's mother?" kyoi asked.
"...she's.. dead." yami replied
" DONT SCREW WITH ME!!" kyoi shouted. yami was shock to hear his brother shout.
" YOUR LYING!! MOTHER’S NOT DEAD!!" kyoi continued
" ... im not lying. she.. died... protecting me..." yami replied
"..." kyoi paused. " i thought i was the threat to our clan.. i guess im not." yami looked at his brother
" your the real threat! how could you allow mother to die like that! your not a saint at all!! your not my brother anymore!!!!!" those words strucked yami's heart.

one day, yami and kyoi got into a fight. " cant you see? your not needed here! i dont need you anymore! everyones afraid of your face! get lost!" kyoi said. " you shouldnt say things like that you know. telling me i have a scary face when you have the same face as me." yami said calmly hoping to break the tension of his brother. but it made it worst. kyoi threw a rock at yami and wounded him on the right side of his face. " .. i wont fight you." yami said. " are you mocking me??" kyoi replied. at that time.. he knew that his brother had changed. he wasnt the kind kyoi anymore and yet he refused to fight him. so he turned away. " ive had enough of your attitude.. I HATE YOU!!!" kyoi shouted
" i hate you!" those words echoed in yami's mind and then " AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!"
" kyoi!" he heard kyoi scream and then he saw the man who killed his mother and kyoi on the ground that was stained with blood.
" ... nii.san?" he heard kyoi's voice and immediately went to him.
kyoi was stabbed from his back and wounded his heart. it was very deep. blood was spreading quickly

" ... i-im sorry.. i got mad at you for not being able to protect mom and yet i cant even protect myself.."
" dont talk too much idiot! stay here! i'll go get help!"

"whats going on here-" the caretaker saw yami.. standing with his shirt and knife stained with blood and his brother. who was lying there..
" kyoi! what did you do to your brother?!!!" the caretaker shouted
"...." yami didnt reply
the caretaker held kyoi's hand to see if there was still a heartbeat.. but it was too late..
" you... YOU KILLED YOUR BROTHER??!!!"

" no.. it wasnt me..." yami could only say it in his head
" kyoi! answer me!!! did you kill your brother??!!!"
" kill... kyoi.. i.. killed him?" yami thought.. he was shocked and confused..
" KYOI!!" the caretaker shouted again. yami snapped.
" ha... haha.. HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!" yami could only laugh
" you.. how coud you?!"
" because... he was.. ANNOYING" yami replied. those werent the things he wanted to say but he didnt want the police to find the killer because he.. wanted to kill him himself.

yami couldnt be arrested because he was underage. so they told him that they were taking him to a rehabilitation center.. but.. it was a lie..
they actually took him to a laboratory where they experiment new medicines, species and others. and of course, they needed someone to test it and they made yami into a lab rat.
“ brats like you aren’t fit to go on rehab. Being a lab rat suits your punishment more.” A man said to yami.

Yami didn’t react. He was blank.. all he could think of was revenge. They made him drink different kinds of medicines, he suffered all the side effects, but he didn’t mind. His body was numb. There was even once when a scientist took out the genes from different animals and inserted it inside yami’s body mixing his genes with the others. It was painful. But the thought of his dead brother and revenge kept him alive. He was left inside the laboratory. The scientist went home. He was alone. Then he smelled a familiar scent. “ yo” a man said.
He recognized the voice. It was the killer.
“ didn’t expect you to still be alive after all those experiments. You’ve got a strong heart huh?”
Images of his brother and mothers death flooded yami’s mind.
“ sadly, I have to end your life. Don’t be sad.. im actually doing you a favor. Im setting you free from your suffering. Well, goodnight,.”
The killer stabbed yami on his forehead.
“ that’s to make sure that you’ll die fast.”

It was funny. Yami didn’t feel any pain even if it was his forhead that got stabbed. He felt weird. Revenge. That was the only thing that filled his mind. He felt his heart getting darker and darker.
“ haha..” yami let out a fatal laugh.
“ wh-what the- your still alive?!!” the killer took out his gun
“ … did you really think that I’d die from such a small wound?” yami got up and smirked. The knife was still on his forhead. It was bleeding. But he still didn’t feel any pain.
“ yyyou.. YOUR NOT HUMAN!!” he started to randomly shoot at yami. But it never worked. Yami appeared at his back. Using the knife that his mother gave, yami stabbed him. He got down on the ground due to the pain.

“ … does it hurt?” yami asked
“ idiot! You think getting stabbed doesn’t hurt?!!!
Yami smiled
“ good. But, that pain is not even half of the pain you made my family experience.”
Yami stabbed his leg, then his arm, his stomach, his eye.
“ GAAAAAAAAAH!!! STOP!! JUST KILL ME ALREADY!!!!”
“ hmm? But if I do that then I’d be doing you a favor of setting you free from your suffering. And that WONT BE FUN. Right?~” yami replied and smiled
“ Y-YOU MONSTER!!!!”

After that , SHIKI suddenly arrived. Seeing the whole situation, he was able to tell that yami had become a nightmare. He told yami everything and told him to come with him. Yami refused. He wanted to end his life after taking revenge. “ I no longer have a place to return to. Im not fit to stay in this world. I have nowhere to belong.” SHIKI looked at yami and patted his head “ .. your not alone. You still have a place to return to and that’s.. with the nightmares. Its where you belong.”
Hearing that, yami joined the nightmares. he looks up to SHIKI like a big brother. He also changed his name. “ im no longer seijin, nor am I kyoi. Im now.. yami ( which means dark looooooooooooool)
Yeah, he met a lot of people when he joined the nightmares. At that time he felt that he was free to be who he really is because he will always belong with the nightmares. Oh, and he also met a human named yokina. They were classmates before until she transferred to an elite academy. Yokina is the only human who he gets along with. But he doesn’t know that she is a dreamer and yokina doesn’t know that yami’s a nightmare T_T is this the start of forbidden love? /STABBED/ friendship, I mean XD

PERSONALITY: yami can be a tsunedere sometimes. Especially when he gets really shy.his really quiet when his alone, and with strangers. But his VERY talkative when he gets to like a person. His kind of hard headed. His stupid and yet his serious side is damn scary T_T. he acts all gay around narl -_- and I don’t know why. He claims narl to be his bestfriend. Even though narl didn’t agree to that XD
Likes: Pranking and teasing people, especially narl //kicked
His older brother SHIKI. The nightmares. And yokina.
Dislikes: the world. Humans (except for yokina). Stupid people ( even though his also stupid)
Ability: well, due to the scientist who mixed yamis genes with other animals, he highly developed his 5 senses. Especially his sense of hearing. That’s why he wears headphones. A whisper is already loud for him. So when he became a nightmare, yami can hear the darkest desire of a human. Its like he can read minds or something. Pffft. His weapon, of course, is the knife his mom gave him. His nails are very sharp. His also good at tracking or hunting a target. Basically, his like an assassin. He kills quietly and quickly. His like a beast, I guess, since his got animal genes now -_-

PERSONALITY: yami can be a tsunedere sometimes. Especially when he gets really shy.his really quiet when his alone, and with strangers. But his VERY talkative when he gets to like a person. His kind of hard headed. His stupid and yet his serious side is damn scary T_T. he acts all gay around narl -_- and I don’t know why. He claims narl to be his bestfriend. Even though narl didn’t agree to that XD

Ability: well, due to the scientist who mixed yamis genes with other animals, he highly developed his 5 senses. Especially his sense of hearing. That’s why he wears headphones. A whisper is already loud for him. So when he became a nightmare, yami can hear the darkest desire of a human. Its like he can read minds or something. Pffft.
