no no, expressive, manga can be expressive, but it's more of a forced style, while drawing a cartoon, you can be to draw it as how you want it... make enough sense?

it can be a very forced style. Until you make it your own. I draw in a manga style, but it is still my own and therefore not forced. all art is forced until it is your own art. Everything else is like copying and practice.
