I was standing on the new walking path the park people are constructing. It runs straight into this slough and out the other side, can't believe that they would do this. It's going to be under water at least 1/3 of the year and useless.

In some place I've heard that they are but this is the widest part and I would bet not

Thanks Eva. When the river receeds it traps the water back in this area. The lake in the park also drains into here when it is overfull.
