Description

So this was a sketch for a while but I finally picked it up again, finishing it a few nights ago :'D
This is my and nyaesthetic 's character, Mothpaw and Marshpaw ♥

There may be a bit of a romance here~~
But basically just a lil' scene from our role-play. It's cliche yes but adorable nonetheless and fuels my love for fireflies
even though I've never experienced them in person ; ;/

But yes MarshxMoth is real ♥ ♥

"Hm? No, no. I'm fine, really." Marshpaw smiled in apology to his friends worries, having not meant for him to take it that way. "I just..." His muddied paws went back to fidgeting, "Well, I forgot the herbs that we had gone to gather but I also saw you here so I followed you."

"Ah, that's understandable." He mewed, with a slight smile and looked at his paws. "Its kinda late to grab them though don't you think? It's already moon-high, sun went down a long time ago and morning will probably come quicker then you know it." The cat scolded but in a playful kind of way, "We should head back before we get in more trouble, I saw you doing all the work today and I felt bad..." He mewed.

"Huh.. ? Oh, no I already got them don't worry!" Marshpaw eagerly nudged the bundle at his paws, the long stems of which poked out of the leaf wrapped top. "And it's fine about the work, really. I-I don't mind; I'm sure everyone's sleeping now as well." Smiling again as the ever cheerful cat he was, he nervously glanced to the moon before back to his friend. "Do.. you want to see them? Th-the plants I mean." His ears cocked forward in question, tail twitching behind him.

"Sure, I'd love to." The tom mewed, stretching his back and shaking his injured paw before getting ready to follow the other cat.

Marshpaw on the other hand, didn't ready himself to get ready. Instead, he bent down and nipped open the package of herbs at his feet; at first the scenery around them remained quiet and dark, very very silent in fact.. and then, there was a small, soft, yellow twinkle of light. And then another. Until a few more carefully lit and rose up to dance around their bodies from the bundle of herbs Marshpaw had gathered. Watching these twinkles with a gentle grin on his face, his alight, yellow eyes looked back up to catch Mothpaw's expression. "Fireflies," He breathed softly, "They were caught on the plants... I managed to get a few."
