CONTEST ENTRY:haha! i thought this would be a cute and funny entry for the Contest hosted by Children of the Big Three! Its just how i imagine nico in the spring time! having a rough time, especially with plants hehe. We all know that him and Persephone arent the best of pals because of Hades cheating on her for Nico's mom. So she's gonna do what a typical goddess would do. probably get some sort of revenge on his kids. haha! poor nico!

I don't see Persephone doing this, unfortunately. Goddess of the spring, so she wouldn't harm her own season. Yeah, she's turned Nico into flowers a couple of times but I don't think there was really any harm meant.
If she really hated him, Nico probably wouldn't spend so much time in the Underworld even if his dad was there. I think the relationship is more of "Don't bother me, I don't bother you" and being polite.
Plus there's also the fact that it's been seventy frikkin years since he and Bianca were conceived, and Persephone better than anyone else would see the passing of time. No-one can keep a grudge for over seventy years especially if they know what seventy years means.

sorry if i sound rude but i don't see this happaning. even if nico isn't her blood child i see her still loving him for he has hades's blood. plus she is the goddess of sping, the time of new life. agen sorry if this sounds rude but Persephone isn't hera. she would love all childern no matter who they are.

Yea, Me and my friend have debated about that and what we've come up with is that she and Hades where fighting about something and she had been trying to turn one of the skeletal solders into a flower but missed and hit Nico.

No no it's fine! It's just your opinion! But she actually doesn't like him. The book says so. She turned him into a dandelion. And the reason his mom is dead is bc of Persephone if I remember correctly.

i read that the reason his mom is dead, is because zuse found out hades had Nico and Bianca, even though hades didn't break his vow of never having children because Bianca and Nico were born before the vow was made.zuse assumed hades broke his vow and hurrled a thunder bolt at maria's head and hades cursed the oracle.

If so, then the writers screwed up. i can't imagine persephone hating any chiled, especially nico. and are you referring to the movie when you say she turned him into a dandelion? bc my friend says she doesn't recall that happening in the book.

the writer isnt screwed up. he's actually very talented in modernizing the gods. i understand why she wouldnt do this... BUT you have to remember its a book and he's just making fun with it.
and tell your friend it isnt one of the books in the last olympian series. its from an "extra" book he wrote. they should go read it.

I know his a great writer, don't get me wrong i love his books. i just think he made a mistake on Persephone. And me and my friend have read the "extra" book now. and i couldn't get myself into the story line, i can't see her being like that. Oh and i forgot to say this in my first entry, i like you art still. i wish i could draw like that.

I think the only reason Persephone would be mad at Hadess for cheating on her is because in the original myths, Hades kidnapped Persephone and pretty much forced her to marry him, then he decides he can go and cheat on her with a mortal.

I see what you mean but i can see her as a more understanding goddess. And about the myth, hades is the god of the dead, meaning in my mind that he is incapabul of making life.(unless with the help of a woman) so agen in my mind he can't grow a pomegranate tree. but persephone can.
