Hello everyone!Due to my exams coming up, I haven't been able to post alot of art.
This piece is one of the many studies I have to make for my school level coursework.
I have been working on it for quite some time. It is an observational piece of this page from the manga Otoyomegatari: z.mhcdn.net/store/manga/5127/0…
Identity.
What defines it? For me, one major aspect of my identity is my love for manga, both the art style and certain books. Knowing such, it is evident why I chose to do an observational study from the manga Otoyomegatari for my school level coursework based on the topic 'Identity'. This spread from the manga immediately struck me as incredibly intricate, making for a good art study.
This piece was done using Copic Multiliners (no pencils) on paper with pens as small as 0.03 mm, so look closer for intricacies.
I hope you like my artwork, I am really proud of this piece!
~This has not been traced. As this work was originally for my coursework in which tracing is not permitted, this piece was drawn via a tedious process of drawing grids. I think it paid off... do you?

Since I was studying the original I saw it fit to retain the Otoyomegatari signs. It took me about a month on and off, but I'm really happy with the end result! I'm glad you like it too!

Amazing details, specially with the pillows & clothing. It's very similar to the manga.
As a minor details try adjusting the level tones in the black areas (carpet) to achieve a more solid color. I always had that kind of problem scanning ink illustrations ^^U
