I see the Buddha and a clock that will never strike 12 because in the present moment there is no concept of time. Not everyone's interpretation, but who's to say...
I like the tones and texture in this image. Nice work!

Gorgeous! Warm and meditative, but also gritty. Still a hint of that post-apocalyptic flavor I feel in your style. Most intriguing!

Sure, I don't see any reason not to enter. Of course, you always have to be ready for those who have nothing going for them and like to tear down those who do.
And thanks, glad you liked the manip!

Even with the warm colors, this feel like it's got a cold chill coming from it.
I like it.
Seems to be a record texture that's also saying fabric.

M'dear Bark
I'm here to say thank you again for some favourites and comments, and once again drawn into a cornucopia of images; I am like the proverbial child in the even more proverbial sweetshop - totally bemused by the offering of excellence that is on offer.
And this one captures me because it talks of a passage, a journey through the greatest mystery of all - time.
From the rich golden texture through to the impeccable composition; I just do not know how you manage to produce such quality time after time (no pun intended).
End of compliments. I'll sound like I'm fawning; if I was going to fawn, people would spot it immediately, though.
This one just won out for me over the bandaged horror of the fish-hook.
I'll let you into a secret - I used to think collage (especially photomanipulated collage) was simple and a cheat, non-art of the worst kind.
I even did it myself, and came to similar conclusions - I thought I was cheating.
You changed that.
And continue to challenge the misconception.
I'm orff to practice.

Thanks, Mr Dibbs, what a great compliment!
I thought the same thing about manipulation in the beginning. But for one reason or another I've been unable to paint for the past decade or so, but still had the need to create. Slapping a figure on a background doesn't constitute art, and there's plenty of that here... but I've found that manipulation and paint programs can be very rewarding. No substitute for traditional art, but a valid outlet for creativity.
Thanks once again!

I've always had a fondness for this amber color in works like this. It makes the piece look as if it were much older than it is but at the same time it gives the textures a richness that anything else would seem to hide or ignore.

You're welcome. I'm sure it didn't look so good in blue.

Within the past year or two your work has been excellent.
(Not that it wasn't before it's just I love the newer stuff. )

The new work tells a story of sorts. It goes into a deeper place that's universal. I think that's why I like it.

The stoic face before the prospect of one end followed by one beginning. The comfort of constancy. A peaceful image.

hm... I think that isn't time, but is event sequences that can seem slow or fast depending on circumstances and adrenaline level. Lots of adrenaline makes it seem like one has much opportunity to act; low levels of adrenaline and conscious awareness make events come upon you sooner than you can think. I've been in a couple of such event sequences. Very interesting experiences. I've not been in the end-of-lifespan slow wait yet, but will be unless a fastdeath comes.
