I think it is awesome! I love the concept. If your shadow/wing is on a seperate layer you should be able to take your smudge tool and smudge it to match the girl prettty easy.

nice, although the "head" shadows dont match up with her head shape so it makes it look awkward and not really her "wings" .... hmmm

The head shodow is her original shadow. When I tried to make it match with the wing shadow it looked really stupid.

I just found a pick of a wing on google, then I changed the opacity and the color. Used brushes and erasers to make it look similar to the original shadow.
