Eine deiner besten Sachen die ich gesehen habe.
Die Farben kommen auch sehr gut zur Geltung.

I've taken the liberty of browsing your gallery, and most if not all of your work is quite good, but this is simply amazing. Such a deep vibrant red of the explosion (nova?) glaring against the surface of the bleak doomed planet (which you can still tell was lively up until then) is quite the contrast and very pleasing to the eye. I especially love the jagged lightning-like ripples in the energy, it gives the image a bigger sense of power. Normally, when an artist only does the same type of pictures, they get repetitious, but you've managed to give a fresh outlook to each one (excepting, of course, your re-done pictures, which are still different enough to be considered somewhat "new"). That is not an easy task. So, without using any more space, let me say Thank you for the refreshing outlook and inspiration for space art, and keep up the good work.

I didn't mean to say that you "only" did space art, what I meant was when an artist makes much of the same genre/style pictures, it can get repetitious. Not the case with yours.

The tones are entirely appropriate for the title of the piece. There's a strong apocalyptic feel about this composition, and as with much of your work this has a particularly dense atmospheric feeling to it. Good stuff.

this image creates a dark mood - with those dark colours, and asteroids - which fits the theme perfectly. really nice pic

Great picture nonetheless.

Yeah, of course it'll be a long, very long, time before the sun actually does go nova on us, its too small to be a super nova. It'll be one hell of a sun rise before the earth gets engulfed. Hows an apartment underwater or on the surface of Europa sound like to you?

Baro In reply to Swasho [2007-07-17 10:56:33 +0000 UTC]
i didn't think of it like that, but it is actually a fact that the sun will spread out a few million years before it's supernova and it will become much too hot on earth for anything to survive. Scientists believe the sattelites of jupiter will have about the same temperature earth has now, by that time.
