Description
This mapping tutorial will take you through the basics of building complex, intriguing, multilevel and generally fun maps inside programs that build maps based off layers.For the purposes of this exercise the Eclipse engine was used.

The tiles are not publicly available as they have been made or modified specifically for my game. This is to teach you how to map, not to hand out chipsets.
Hope you enjoy it and learn some new skills.

and get him to submit his map tutorials. Hes generally a better mapper then me, I just craft tiles.

I love it so complicated but so simple Im working on a game too only I dont know how to make more areas and join them together got any advice for that?

In your map properties you can set which map joins on either side of the current one.

I agree, entirely.
This map was actually made to look crappier when i switched out a heap of my custom drawn tiles i didnt want getting ripped before release of my game. Some quality loss was inevitable.

holy crap i need this! I'm planning to make an MMO using eclipse called "Sorcerer's Creed" with a friend. and flying admins will make my heart smile.
