Description
Walk cycles are now officially the bane of my existence!
I wanted something featuring a chap in Regency fashion for my website. In fact I just wanted to draw said chap, not sweat blood over a little animation! D> I guess I'm some sort of masochist...
Frames drawn and coloured in Paint Tool SAI, animated in Photoshop.

I feel like this would be much more fluid if we didn't see the other side of his face (it looks like he's about to turn or he's looking down at something), just because we don't see him turn the other direction, but this is really cool~ I wish I could do animations. And draw people, lol.

Thank you so much for the crit, I really appreciate it! I agree with you, his head turns too far and it looks odd as the movement doesn't continue when he changes his stride... for whatever reason I just didn't think I could fix it. :/ Oh well, lesson learned for next time!

how many frames did you use? and how did you upload it to DA? I have a walk cycle but it was animated in iMovie and im not sure if that works. I WILL TRY NOW THOUGH YES.

There are 8 frames overall. :> I uploaded it to DA under Digital Art>Miscellaneous>Animation, as a .gif file. When you upload it as a .gif it'll ask you to provide a 150x150 pixel preview picture so make sure you have one of those too.

The motion of his coat generates a sense of swish that follows the swing of his cane, nicely done!

Thank you, this makes me happy as the coat's movements were a nightmare to figure out! xI The men in the fashion plates I looked at all had very fine noses, so it was only natural he should have a fine nose too. xD
