I think this shot has a nice perspective. Really neatly detailed plank, yet looking downward on only the sea (no horizon) gives it a powerful meaning. I just don't know what. XD

Could it be that the plank after wear and tear looks stable and reliable, like an old trustworthy friend, while the sea in the far distance looks like an endless mass of the unknown with darkness aswell as light, perhaps?
Symbolising the need of having something stable close to you in a world of uncertainty.
