Oh yeah, I'm fine. It's just interesting, because last night my hubby and I got into a fight. Coincidentally, my husband has always portrayed the "Joker" due to his long face, and huge teeth (plus height because the original joker was 6'5) and I've always portrayed Harley. Which was really just one of those things that "worked out" because it certainly wasn't planned. So, having fought with my husband and then seeing this picture, and realizing how she felt was just heartbreaking... It's a good photo tho.

I see that we weren't the only ones bummed out by the news. Poor Harley <3 This is really wonderfully depressing, because that girl should just NEVER cry. She's way to spunky. Poor thing :/

I really like her pose (do you use your dolls as models?) and the melancholy look in her eyes. And also, how she looks like she has actual weight--even though there isn't a backdrop or horizon line, she isn't just floating in a space on a page.

aww~ I didn't know he had a daughter, that's awful. :{ I use my dolls as models only if I can't find a reference picture that will work. I used a picture(of a guy! XD) as reference for this picture to make sure my proportions were right... X3

I know, I read that's she's only two years old. ): I work in a grocery store, and I saw a photo on a magazine cover, of him with her on his shoulders. It made me want to cry!
I think everyone who draws has either a folder full of reference material or some stock photo websites bookmarked. :3 I like using my doll because I can turn him a bit to adjust the pose slightly, if I need to, and he seems to be a bit more flexible than a wooden mannequin (and looks a lot more at home amid my action figures on my desk. xD)

Yeah, I like my dolls way better than those wooden mannequins. I use my roxydoll lucy, Cinder, more often than the others because she's extremely posable and she's wired so she stays put. XD

I just have one of the 27 cm Volks EB model dolls, and was going to use it just as a model, but I recently got him an eyehole head and used the advice you gave me to make him a wig, and turned him into one of my characters instead. xD I'm definitely hooked on the hobby now, and am saving for a Bobobie Apollo.

Cinder is a tiny... she's like maybe six inches tall? She's a little too tall to be dollhouse scale(1/12th). They're having a sale on her over at notdoll, she's onsale for $130 in normal skin and $150 in tan(like cinder). I absolutely ADORE her. She's great for just stuffing in my purse and taking to dinner if I want to have a little fun.
The only downside is finding wigs for her. the sale dolls don't have them... so her wig is actually a strip of fur that I've hot glued on. XD I wanted her to have a mohawk. But the hot glue will just peel right off, it's not hot enough to damage the resin.

Aww, that's so small! I might save for one after I get my Apollo; it would be nice to have all three of my characters as dolls.
The site that the I'm going to buy my doll from sells one kind of mohair wig for tinies...they don't have blue, but they do have white, so maybe it could be dyed and styled into a mohawk? Here's a link, if you'd like to have a look:
