Description Today was a technique test with hairstylist Jason Becker for an upcoming project.

=NevaehLleh was kind enough to suffer a bald cap and hair torture while we stumbled through.

^wynnesome was kind enough to shoot the test.

We'll be at it again in the morning.

Wish us luck.

Jason did all the hair styling.
I only did the bald cap and makeup.

So, yeah Minimalist ruled the day.

The tests are looking fantastic so far, I love what you've done with the ribbons. Very unique to see them used in a non-traditional manner. Can't wait to see what you can do next!

Thank you!

The Ribbons are from cut up aluminum cans.... the kind of stuff you can glue to a bald cap, not real skin.

Interesting - as in cool, unique, different?

Or

Interesting - as in "pat on the head go try again"...

Little bit of both. But only my perspective. Though I don't know the actual intent, only my perspective. Though it is work well done, i know I am not even able to dream of doing work that clean. Though ontop there is a little spot where the hair comes up that catches my eye and screams manufactured at me. Not as in robot manufactured but as in the baldcap. If that makes sense. Though most likely I am only seein things and don't know what the hell im talking about.

I do understand each critique point you've brought up.
If we had known what we were going for, we would have done something different. We STARTED the day thinking Steam Punk, if that gives you any idea how far things meandered.

This piece is SO outside my "zone".
Not something I would normally go for on my own.

So, for that reason, I am very glad the day came together like it did.

Well, I hardly ever walk into anything knowing what im doing. Vague ideas sure, dark, zesty mint... for most. But this is far far outside my zone. L()L But yeah I understand how things can meander and stuff. But, the bottom line is you are happy with how things came together. Not just with image but with technique and skill and concept and stuff.. ya know all the goodies most don't see from the other side of the screen. L()L

I don't think I have a "signature move" yet.

One day, I hope to have my own version of Zesty Mint!!!!

Insider tip, if you don't already know....

When making innards of a body, use soft leather dyed the appropriate colour, cut and sewn into the proper shape. (make it a pouch for 3D realism) Stuffed with just about anything you desire. The leather is forgiving enough to even be able to use newsprint. Than cover the organ with liquid latex. Finish off with textural shadows to match the final installation as well as slime, goo, gell for desired cavity effect. Makes it great also to be able to pull out the organ from the body for added dramatization.
