Description it was an honest mistake




this was a drawing i did of my friend. it looks nothing like her, intentionally though.
gel pen, pen, and burnt it with a lighter.

Out of curiosity, when was this drawn? My friends and I are looking into this whole interconnectedness of artistic and/or conceptual thought deal. And I've backed myself into the beauty of fire as a medium again.
I'd noticed it a while back with the poetry community too. Mind you, I humble myself to your drawings, instead of the air of false superiority with my poet friends. But, I just find it fun to study the universal nature of thought in these cases.

i'd say i drew this some time between last april-june. i've been interested in burning things in my artwork for quite a while. it has interesting effects on polaroids, as well as regular printed photos. so i've been experimenting with my lighter on different mediums for a while.

And this is really cool! You should put something behind the holes, like paint some crazy bright watercolors on another paper and layer the two pieces.

it is sometime very frustrating when
a drawing does not turn out the was you wanted
but this piece of work is interesting after all

i'm not happy with this really, i didn't have any intentions for how it was going to turn out though, so i wasn't disappointed when i finished it or anything. i did it in like thirty minutes so i don't care too much for this but don't mind either way hahaa
