Good day to you,

Extraordinary work indeed. If I may enquire, I have become rather facinated by bookbinding of late, yet I am unsure where to start. Would you mind pointing me in the direction of a few books/websites/suppliers etc?

Many thanks,

Grinning-Goblin.

Hello. Thank you so much for the kind words. I have been bookbinding for about 10 years now. I am self taught and have picked up a few books here and there as well as disassembled many books to get where I'm at today.
The best place for you to start where you can get just about all the info you need is at this forum below. Register and commune with others. There are very nice people that have been in the business for many years and many are willing to share all they know.

My suggestion as far as books go, Check out your library and get the books on bookbinding that are older. They have more of the instruction on traditional binding that some of the newer books leave out.
I guess it will also depend on what type of binding you veer towards.
I bind in Traditional 16th to 18th century leather, quarter bound and half bound styles all with supported cord.

I hope you find the style that fits you and hope to see something from you in the future.
Cheers

absolutely gorgeous. I love the aged look and the ribbing on the spine. Someday I'd like to try that.
