That could so easily be sold to Mtv as an actual promo idea

Ooh, After Effects eh? I'm just in the middle of my very first AE class, and we're gonna have a 3min movie done in about a week from now. |D Nobody from my team has any experience with the program from before..how advanced do your drawings need to be to be able to get a smooth moving animation (as in your little dude there)?
Great work anyways! C:

My dude moves at about one post every 3 frames so it's not so bad. I also rotated between drawings every 3 frames to give him that wobbly look.
Keep in mind too that you can change the anchor points (hotkey = Y) on things, so you can potentially cut a character up into different layers and move it like a puppet.

This meaning that you don't need to move every layer like a separate object, but so than it becomes more of an entity that you can play around with?

Nah the layers need to be their own objects, but you can animate them in their own composition, then place that scene with a transparent or no background into another composition and move it more. One of the keys to AE is embedding composition within composition.

This is great. It'd be amazing if, at some point, some day, there was an extended version where it takes him different places as well.
