Description
YOU PROBABLY NEED TO DOWNLOAD THIS.The backgrounds for a short videogame Myself and about a dozen classmates were supposed to make in weeks. We failed! bad communication and the game didn't quiet get finished. We might get back to it on our own time when the term ends. We'll see. I'll probably make a journal about it if so -especially if it's playable for the public.
For this game I had to do the ENTIRE BACKGROUND and the concept art for EVERYTHING THAT WASN'T A CHARACTER. It was kinda a whole lot of work and frustration but the pieces I got out of it were pretty nice.
This image here is the entire level without any of the obstacles and enemies. All the backgrounds were illustrated by myself in Photoshop. The big black blocky things are where walls and whatnot the 3D modelers made would go.

you would't by any chance know any giudes to it or have any tips for alpha tecture creation ?
im using photoshop cs3 to create the texture's, but im wondering if it might be the format im saving them as might be the problem
any info be appreciated

Afraid I'm not much of a fount of info on the engine - I'm just the 2d/ concept art guy. All the logistics are for other team members.

The boilers looking like faces cannot be accidental. Some cool animated shit was going to happen there. Someday, baby.

If this is half-assed for you I am going to do terrible things to your body... interpret that for better or worse.

It's less half-assed that it could have been. I have a hard time not caring about a piece and letting go .__.

I can't help but think the gears are starting to turn in that last picture to the right...

I must say sir, I love your backgrounds. The part of the level with the gears in the background is my favorite but it all rocks. Your style of coloring always inspires.
In short, this was a deliciously radical.

Side scroller nice! There needs to be more of those. The section with the monster-y boilers is pretty sweet.

Wow, absolutely incredible : D .. amazing... @_@

"Rockin'" is a pretty good one. I am also fond of "radical" and "delicious".

I like the boiler room the most, but I'm curious as to what this will all like in the end run 8D
