This is one of my Illustrations for an Insideous Publications Novel titled "TSA". I will doing about ten more of these using India Ink and Watercolors. I am trying to keep the colors down to a retro kinda feel like an old 70's grind house flick. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on the execution of this.Related content

Hedges just sent me TSA to read, and I LOVED it. I knew that you were working on the project, so I came over here to check out the pieces you did for it again (now that I've read the reference piece). Man, you NAILED this one. It really captured the dark tone a filthy/seedy feel of the material. Sweet stuff!

Dude thanks alot.. I really enjoyed working with a color medium. I really wanted a gritty retro grindhouse look for this. This book really helped shape the watercolor technique that i"ve been trying to nail.

the coloring is great! i love old school lookin stuff, remember the 3 magic colors: yellow, orange and brown!

That is fantastic. I love the blackness in the top half of the image and the sharp shadows, as if it were all under a street light. The colors are perfect.

When I fisrt looked at this it almost looks like its been painted over a photograph. I like the feel of the image, and the colour choices. The way you did the lighting works well for this too.
