Description
Growing up is great, but it often means we have to let go of being a child, or acting like one anyways. I wish I could explain in words what this means to me, but I can't... guess that's why I went into art.Photoshop and Alias Sketchbook Pro.

thanks, cova. it has been a long time. what are you up to these days?
i think working in concept art has been helpful for digital painting, but yeah, i should use more reference when painting realistic things.

no probs dude. always love your stuff even without refs. me? i've been doin different kinds of exhibitions this year contemplating quitting creative work altogether for a bit but ended up with a commercial illustration agency. i'm enjoying it much more than i thought. how 'bout you?

yeah, i have to say that i'm much happier having a steady job that is for the most part non-stressful (compared to comics). i'm learning a lot, which i think is the key to being happy. always making progress instead of repeating the same thing over and over.
what kind of illustrations are you doing? looking at your gallery, it's cool to see what you're exploring.

I can totally relate. I always like to explore new things and places in my work. There's probably over a 100 pieces i haven't posted here on D.A. but I've been doing a bit of fine art drawing again, exhibiting in London and Germany and some really commercial illustration for clients like Rolling Stone, Qantas Airlines.

yeah, it's a complex issue. there's a lot to be said about it, sure is fun to make a picture about it than talk about it.
how are you doing?

Oh wow! This is really intriguing. Maybe one day you'll have to attempt to explain it to me.
