This is a crossover between 2 things made into a parody advertThe mindf*ck dark MLP Fanfic ‘Pattycakes’
And DA’s latest April Fools prank which I indeed fell victim to
…hey it makes at much sense as much of today’s adverts, if you saw an advert for a car that turns into a CGI dancing robot you’d think ‘Transformers’ right? Actually this was years before the first film was out and was made to promote a Citron car that can’t turn into a dancing robot. Also when you think ‘chocolate bars’ is the first thing you say when you eat it “this is delicious, it tastes like a gorilla playing the drums”? Actually I think chocolate bars taste more like ‘a toucan playing the kazoo’ myself XD
Shame that this took most of the day to do so when it was finally up it’s close to the end of the day thus the DH joke is close to the point where people will miss the reference since it would be taken down after April Fool’s Day
…Aw well, many people have seen it and many people have laughed so that’s the main thing

at first i was going to remake the story and make the joke of fluttershy having to put up with the bad side of being a parent, but after seeing the DevinatHEART april fools joke this popped into my mind and i went with that instead X3

But to be honest, Pattycakes is the mildest fanfic I've EVER read. it's actually kind of cute. And I have read some pretty fucked up fanfics. (Cupcakes, Sweet Apple Massacre, Trixie's Funhouse, Scootaloo' Love for Pain, Cheerilee's Garden, etc)

well that's a matter of opinion but since you expressed yours, I'll express mine
personally i think things like Cupcakes and Sweet Apple Massacre are rather overrated, i mean sure they are gory but also rather out-of-character so that ellimates the possibility of them ever actually happening thus making them not all that scary, i mean does anyone really thing the canon Big Mac would torture his little sister and his friends like that? or Pinkie Pie going anywhere near the stage of sticking a knife under other people's skin? And before anyone mentioned the 'Party of One' episode let me point out her actions were only acting crazy not turning violent so that doesn't count
so the fact Patticakes doesn't contain any violence makes it alot more believable, also i find the idea of Fluttershy wanting to be a mother feels rather in-character makes it more believable and over-thinking hoe Fluttershy was able to out manipulate Discord makes this psychological manipulation feel alot more believable making the story alot scarier
so that's the difference between these fanfics, the others are just gore-fests, patticakes is more psychological horror
lastly, i don't think any of it was cute, just flat out disturbing

yeah, but I mostly say ‘infamous’ because it’s a dark fic so its remembered for scaring the crap outta people...so basically for being a well written creepy pasta
I guess it’s also infamous to the fans who can't separate canon from fanon and think pinkie pie really is a crazy murderer whilst watching the show..seriously in one episode she’s babysitting 2 kids and many fans assumed the worst
other than that its remembered by fans as being the most famous dark fic, it become waaay more popular than the author ever intended, it does have loads of fans who have adapted it into comics and videos or even inspire other fanfics, hell its even inspired an insane alter-ego for pinkie known as ‘pinkamena’...but overall its mostly used as the fandom's enthusiasm for 'horror fiction'

yea, many people criticize it for being more of a gore fest than flat our scary, some reviewers even say "wait! this is the infamous cupcakes everyone talks about? that wasn't scary, just a bloodbath"
heh, doesn't surprise me since i think about every brony knows what cupcakes is by name even those who haven’t read it, but that’s ok, i respect that not everyone has to like the show
wow, never heard of that one...but it seems to have its own TV Tropes page and only really popular fanfics get that treatment
well same can be said for anything that becomes an internet hit, I never expected some of my videos to go as high as they have and I’ve read the same of a few tumblr askblogs that are surpised at their populairty, and lol ‘My Immortal’, a fic soo bad some people debate whether or not it was made that bad on purpose to parody bad fics or if it really is that terrible XD
I’m actually not too good with reading horror literature, I don’t mind TV or Video Game or comic horror but with literature your imagination works more so when the bad stuff happens it much more skin-deep and you can’t just turn away till it’s over because there is no visual indication to when it is all over, just a page of words
So yeah, ‘Pattycakes’ is one of the few creepypatas I’ve read and a friend told me that part 2 is when things get horrific, part 1 on its own is pretty tame and that’s the only one I’ve read, heck I haven’t even read all of cupcakes, im mostly reading a on-going comic adaption
I have read a few on the creepypasta wiki, most of them are trying to be scary but falling flat mostly for being all panic and no real climax like this one where ‘a kid goes to a wooden hut and findis a Sonic plushie in the river with its head cut off’ or for some being more cool that scary like ‘Chikorita's Oil’, I also know some of the famous short ones like the one about the Rugrats being all part of Angelica’s insanity and ‘BUT WHO WAS PHONE’
I’ve mostly seen more of the MLP creepypasta games including ‘Super Filly Adventure’ which starts off as a kid-friendly game but has multiple endings, one unlockable one is requires to be played after midnight (or by altering your PC’s clock XD) is flat out creepypasta, but my favourite is ‘Story of the Blanks’, soo scary, soo effective, soo well written, I love it

Its actually the opposite for me... If i read it its not as bad as actually seeing it... Becaus in my mind seeing it makes it seem as thiugh its actually possible.... Even though your imagination can take it further... The pasta "Sonic.exe" would have been eerie .... Had the author not added a sonic plushie at the end of that one... I think some authors who dont like scary stuff themselves will dull things done by adding a plushie or something....
Im still fairly new to the pasta community so some of the stuff youve mentioned ive never heard of ... I have heard of the rugrats one but ive never read it....

wow...dam know i don't know which is worse, finding reading horror too much or finding seeing horror too much, ironically when i see it it's less scary to me because i can tell myself 'its a cartoon' or 'its just CGI'
heh, i've seen sonic.exe, i haven't played it but I've seen someone else do a 'lets play' of it, dam that was scary and awesome at the same time, temps me to make my own creepypasta game in Game Maker but my game making abilities are rather limited >.<
i'm rather new with it as well although im not really interested in looking into much since its mostly stories and as i said good horror really gets under my skin and all, i wrote my own based on my own 'Channel View Video' series but thats as far as i plan to go really except with the possibility of a game
thats a shame, i really like 'em, another good one is the 'dreamy rainbow' series which is very cupcake-influenced, my favorite bit is in the 3rd one where after this image appears on the screen the characters eye's become sad ans dilated for the rest of the game, its really dam freaky
never heard of the event or the CP fic, but i must say thats a bit messed up, writing dark fics about fictional characters is ok, but i think doing stuff based on real life mass murders is a bit too far, it's disrespectful to the people who died
