Description
Kyle has been gone for so long, Jessi thought. I know he's out doing good for the world, but I miss him so much.
She stopped staring out her window, getting lost in her thoughts, and played 'she could be you' on her record player. She sat on her bed, thinking about Kyle and how much she secretly wished he could've stayed.
Jessi opened her night stand drawer and fished out a picture of Kyle. It was a fairly old polaroid picture, and she didn't quite remember when it was taken. She laid back and stared at this picture as a single tear rolled down her cheek.
Not long after the song ended- she didn't bother getting up to re-play it- she heard familiar footsteps coming up the stairs, down the hall, and stopping at her door.
"Come in," Jessi said, putting away the picture and wiping her eyes.
Lori opened the door. "Still creepy how you do that..."
She noticed Jessi's red eyes. "You ok?"
"Uh, yeah," Jessi said, acting like nothing was wrong.
"Well, come downstairs. There's something you should see."
Jessi sighed and followed her. When she reached the stairs, she was awestruck.
"Kyle " she whispered as she ran down the stairs and into his arms, and felt a very slight shock of electricity when she did. In her mind, she know that this was true happiness.
