Description
Christmas present for my very awesome friend,Tammy "Poniesyeah" Weise
Character design by Heather Vidal
Custom pony by me! MERRY CHRISTMAS! X3
Chai Tea started off as a baity G3 Wondermint, and was re-haired with Espresso, Sour Grapes, Death by Bougainvillea blend, Pumpkin Pie, and Mango Tango nylon hair from Dollyhair.
Re-sculpted with Apoxie Sculpt, painted with acrylics, and sealed with a matte varnish. Eyes were sealed with a glossy sealer. And I placed one single swarovski crystal into a curl on her tail.
Base was stained and sealed with polyurethane.
This was my FASTEST full body repaint EVER! About 8 hours maybe, and AFTER getting home from work.

Too cute! So does the Apoxie air-dry, or do you have to bake it?

Apoxie sculpt is an air drying compound. Personally, I find it easier to work with, as it kind of forces me to learn how to do certain techniques and quickly, since it does start to stiffen quickly ( technically it's not even an air drying compound... really it's a chemical reaction when you combine the two material together ).

very very pretty. although im not sure the base goes with it.. seems like it needs like a lace kinda base or something to go with the tea theme but im not being critical just a little constructive critisim.. still an amazing pony

I can see what you mean, maybe like a piece of lace or something over the base instead of just plain stained base. The base was VERY last minute, though, and I hadn't even really planned originally on having the base . Really kind of added it for extra support for that tail of hers at the very last moment.
And don't worry, I like constructive criticism! I actually wish more people would offer it up more often .

A super shiney glossy glaze always does the trick. Are you talking just about the actual shininess over the eyes or the painting?

Mostly just the eyes. Thanks for the tip!

I love how you made the fur painting. It gives it a "realistic" look.
Not to mention her eyes! *-*
Very adorable and lovely, really nice job :3

This pony is just gorgeous. I love the colors, and the way you did the tail and "feathers" are just stunning. Great job!
