Story

The twins had been harassing a lone child on the playground for a good while now. They were pushing the much smaller boy around, throwing sand at him and ridiculing him. When he tried to leave, they blocked his way and shoved him back.

Kiku had been watching from afar with growing anger and when Len pushed the boy so hard he fell to the ground and started crying, she decided to finally step in.
“Hey! Leave him alone!” she demanded.
“And who the hell are you?” Len asked mockingly. He still had sand in his hand and without waiting for a reply he threw it in the older girl’s face. Luckily, her glasses protected her eyes, but she still had to spit out some sand that got into her mouth. Rin giggled at that.

The twins would soon come to regret their insolent behavior, but first Kiku made sure the crying kid wasn’t hurt and send him home. Then she faced the two bullies. In an instant she closed the gap between herself and Len, grabbed his wrist and twisted both his arms behind his back. Len cried out in surprise and pain, but before he could react in any way, she had forced him onto a nearby bench and sat right on top of his back and twisted arms. He gasped as the air was suddenly driven out of his lunges and a sharp pain shot through his shoulders. He wanted to complain and hurl insults at her, but he already had a hard time breathing; also, he was scared to provoke Kiku even further.
“Stop it!” Rin shouted. “Get off him!” But she didn’t attempt to do anything. Rin could see the anger in the other girl’s eyes and did not feel like trading places with her brother.
“Please,” she added after a while.
“Here is what will happen,” Kiku said in a calm and composed manner as if explaining something mundane, “either you can come here and smell and kiss my foot for the next hour or you can just go and leave your brother to his fate. In that case, don’t expect him to be home before night.”
“What? You’re crazy! Never!” Rin was shocked at the proposal.
Kiku just shrugged. “Your choice.”
Meanwhile Len had trouble grasping the meaning of those words. She couldn’t possible mean that she was going to sit on him for at least an hour, could she? It was already unbearable and his arms began to feel numb. There was no way he could last that long. But if Rin didn’t do as she asked...
He whimpered at the thought and glanced at his sister with a pleading look.
Rin had no choice. It was her fault as well. She wouldn’t be able to face him if she abandoned him to this crazy girl. Who knew what she would do to him.
So, Rin hesitantly came closer.
“That’s unexpected,” Kiku said with genuine surprise, “There still seems to be some decency left in you two. Maybe this lesson will actually stick. Now, kneel down right here while I remove my boots.”
Kiku had been on her feet this whole time and she had expected the weather to be much colder when choosing what to wear this morning. Rin would come to learn both of these facts very soon without being explicitly told.

Few words were said after that. Occasionally you could hear a boy groan or the sound of someone breathing in deeply, followed by coughing or gagging, but for the most part the playground remained quiet for the next hour.

You are welcome to point out my spelling and grammar mistakes (and any other mistakes for that matter). English isn’t my native tongue, so I am bound to make them. As I do want to improve my English and avoid making the same mistakes over and over.

Well, longest story I wrote in one go yet, but I guess that’s fine as I have been slacking when it came to stories.
Also, I felt a bit silly capitalizing every letter in “CUL”, but that’s her official name. While I do mold the personalities of the characters to fit the plot I’d like to stick to their real names.

edit: Made a mistake. Apparently the red headed girl isn’t CUL, but Kiku. Went back and changed the name and crossed out the part that makes no sense now.
