this reminds me a lot of the alien from super 8, only if he were to wear a hazard suit of some degree, very cool

somehow it reminds me of the artwork of the Mass Effect games did you work for it perhaps?

Nope, i enjoyed the first few games in the series though. Don't really have time to play games anymore.

But how does it move? Appearently no joints and the plating appears to intersect where the joints should be. xD

Black parts are flexible synthetic muscle, so it is very mobile. Its head is blocking the muscles in the back so there is a large degree of clearance in the shoulder area. Only blue areas are rigid parts but even then are broken up into multiple parts which could expand and contract to accommodate larger range of motion.
Also it is a concept sculpt/paintover for a first round of design, so a lot of the refinement of each area would be done in the second round if approved by client.
