I remember the first time I showed up at an assignment with a digital camera. For that matter, I recall getting a lot of heat from the 'OGs' when I showed up with an autofocus body at an event.

"It's not real photography," one of my peers remarked. Another said, "Next thing you know, they'll be putting video and photography in cameras and we'll all be out of work."

Some of us chose to use the available new tools to upgrade our work. Others did not, and were left behind.

We can pretend that the AI and CGI and who knows what else, isn't happening. But, it is. In my case, I am treating it like 'autofocus' and digital images. Just another tool to enhance what I already do.
