I'm very proud of how this came out!Borg implant and the background behind Jim are from Best of Both Worlds Part 1.Jim himself is from The Enterprise Incident and a bit edited to take away the healthy tan and dress him in black. The bridge shot is from Arena.

Its interesting that some are saying someone should write a fanfic about this! In fact, in one of Shatner's books, it is the Borg who resurrect him from his death which took place in "Star Trek: Generations". I haven't read that book yet, but looks like I and a few others here might have to.

If I remember correctly, in a book WIlliam Shatner wrote set in Star Trek, post ST Generations, The Return, he comes pretty dang close to this coming to pass.
Book was a bit of a wild ride, heh.

Very chilling to contemplate. One wonders how the Enterprise would've fared against 23rd-century Borg. Would they have been completely outmatched? What would've happened, since they had no Data to help?
Thought-provoking scenario you've created here.

If forty 23rd century Federation ships were wiped out by a single cube, then Enterprise (no bloody A, B, C, or D) would be utterly annihilated within minutes, if not less.

That would depend on what the strength of the Borg was in the 23rd century--if it's proportionally less just as that of the Federation is proportionately less.

The Borg would probably be weaker, but still very deadly. The Borg have probably had their shield-draining technology for quite some time.
