Description The sound of crickets chirping echoed softly in the dark night. Moonlight bathed the forests around the Hidden Leaf Village in its gentle silver glow. The only thing that should have been awake was the ever vigilant owl, scoping the open fields for the tiniest movements to indicate a stray field mouse or shrew and swoop down onto the unsuspecting rodent.

However this particular night the owl had to find a different hunting ground, as his territory was being occupied by several ninja, two of which were on either side of a small boy. His snow white hair reflecting the moonlight, making it almost shine in the night.

Tsunade slowly approached the boy from the group of ninja which consisted of Team 7, Team 8, Team Gai, Team 10, Anko, and about 5 ANBU Black Ops, each of which were dressed to kill having several non-lethal but extremely painful looking weapons and large sealing scrolls that no doubt contained even more weaponry similar to that of a small army.

Two of said ANBU were in the process of de-sealing Patrick’s ‘Seal of Ten-Thousand Nights’. The thin man using his fingers to trace the tattoo-like seal was wearing a hawk-shaped mask while the woman doing the same on his back had one that resembled a panda. Tsunade kneeled beside Patrick to look into his blue, stone cold eyes.

“Are you sure about this Patrick? We could always try something less risky.” But Patrick never looked back at her, his gaze dead-set straight ahead looking at nothing in particular but still unable to turn away.

“Yes… This is the only way…” Tsunade gazed sorrowfully at him for a moment before standing up straight and looking down on the ANBU who was working on the seal on his front.

“How is the unsealing coming along?” It was difficult to tell since he was wearing a mask, but most could tell he was having a difficult time with the seal. “It going, but opening it slightly without completely releasing it is proving more difficult than previously estimated.”

“Well, just keep it stable.” Tsunade then walked back over to the second group of ninja who were preparing scrolls, kunai, shuriken, and other ninja tools before the battle.

Naruto was stuffing a few more smoke bombs into the bag on his thigh. “Yeah, well I still don’t see the point o’ this whole thing. First he hides in a dome, and then he actually asks up to beat him up! It doesn’t make sense…”

*One Day Earlier*

“I know something better than suppressing them… I know how to kill them.”

“I’ve studied the seal countless times after the… first release. The seal works by creating a sort of ‘chakra vacuum’ within the body that sucks in all beings made of chakra into it. Normal creatures that have physical bodies would only feel a slight pull in their charka networks, similar to a magnet. Once whatever you wanted to suck into the vacuum is inside of host, you close it off before the creature can escape, thereby sealing it inside of the host and connecting it to the victim’s chakra network."

"However there is a way, if handled properly by skilled sealers, to only open the seal partially. This would allow for the two weaker and smaller creatures, Hōkkami and Kitaguma, to fully take over my body indefinitely. But while it does seem like an advantage for the demons, it has a big risk. If they are defeated within one hour of being released they will be ripped from my body and dispelled into the atmosphere. This is all theory of course; however I’ve studied the scroll that the fourth Hokage made many, many times over.”

The mention of the fourth made most of the adults glance at Naruto for a moment, remembering the incredible skill he had, especially with seals. “Great, so all we gotta do is beat ‘you’ up after you do somethin’ to your seal. Sounds easy enough.”

Patrick’s gaze dropped to his feet. “Yes, well… I’ve studied the seal, but I’m not very good at sealing or unsealing. There is also another problem.”

Patrick pulled his blue shirt off, revealing the intricate seal on his stomach and part of his chest. “This is the problem.” Patrick turned around and everyone was surprised. On his back was a similar but not identical seal that seemed to mirror the one on his stomach in location and size.

“The problem is that the seal has two parts. A front and a back; the two need to be unsealed at the exact same time or else the seal locks itself for a week.”

“That would pose a problem.” Kakashi agreed. But Tsunade dismissed the thought, “Don’t worry about it. We have many extremely skilled fuinjutsu users in the Leaf Village. I’m sure that after a few weeks of inspection-”

“NO!! I-I mean… it has to be tomorrow!” Patrick’s sudden interruption caused some confusion.

“I-It’s just… any alterations to the seal need to be done under the light of a full moon. That’s when it’s actually visible and can be altered. The next full moon is tomorrow so it needs to be done then…”

Tsunade and the others could tell he was leaving something out, something important. “Patrick. I understand the necessity of the unsealing procedures, but why can it not wait a month for us to study the seal for the highest chance of success and your safety?”

Suddenly Patrick legs went weak and he collapsed on his knees, eyes watering like he was going to cry again clutching his head looking up to everyone desperately.

“B-because… I can’t take it anymore!! Every night! In my dreams their always there, laughing at me, taunting me, hurting me… they’ve been driving me INSANE for the past THREE YEARS!! You saw what happened when he took over! I lost it… I panicked and I almost… gave in… to the darkness… Miss Tsunade helped me but, if she wasn’t there… I don’t think I would have been able to come back, to the light.”

*Present*

The two unnamed ANBU sealers told Patrick and the others through an earpiece com. that the seal was almost completely undone to Patrick’s specifications, and that they would need to evacuate the sealing circle as soon as the final rune was moved. Tsunade gave them permission to do so, and as soon as they executed the final stroke of the fingers, they vanished into thin air. Patrick did his usual possession scream, fall down, and then shoot back up with the blood-red demon eyes in the place of his usual blue ones.

“Well, if this isn’t a surprise! It isn’t my birthday but I do ever so appreciate the thought!!” Hōkkami said with fake and insulting enthusiasm.

Most of the ninja were ready to pounce on the Hokage’s order but she never gave it. Instead she her brow furrowed in a scowl at the demon.

“You think you can fool us with that trick?” Tsunade said this thick distain dripping from her words.

Hōkkami just shrugged with a devious smirk. “Well, I thought it was worth a shot. I’m impressed a lowly human could see through my little ploy…”

Kurenai, who was positioned next to the Hokage, asked what she meant. “Lady Hokage. What do you mean? Shouldn’t we attack before we run out of time?”

Tsunade just shook her head slowly. “No, he hasn’t gotten full control yet. We’d just be beating Patrick’s body without hurting the demon.”

Hōkkami just laughed quietly, which sounded like uneven growling. “Hehehe, so you figured me out hmm? Well it in any case, you might wish you hadn't. You could have simply given me this boy’s body and turned a blind eye, dumped me in some other land to feed on. But if you want to do this the hard way, we’ll do this the hard way.”

He licked his lips and fangs in anticipation. “I think I’ll only critically injure you, you, and maybe you.” He raised a clawed and crooked finger and pointed at Hinata, Lee, and Sakura. “The rest I’ll just kill. You three seem the most emotionally fragile, congratulations! How would it feel…all your little friends were killed by the big bad wolf!! HAA HAHAHAHAA!!!”

The ninja were all disgusted, but Naruto the most of them all. “SHUT THE HELL UP, STUPID WOLF!!! HURRY UP AND TAKE OVER SO I HAVE SOMETHING TO HIT!!!”

Hōkkami turned his gaze over to the orange clad ninja. “Oh, you were originally on my list of ‘People to Cripple for Life’, but you see,” the wolf demon put hands together and rested his face on them, “my host was sooo, touched by your little ‘your name is Patrick’ speech, that I think if I kill you it would UTTERLY destroy his pour wittle brwain. So I’ll save you for last!”

Naruto could practically explode with anger at that point, but Kakashi’s hand on his shoulder kept him from running out there and shoving his fist down the demon’s throat.

“Well I suppose it’s time I showed you my little surprise. Be happy insects, you’re about to bear witness to the birth of the most perfect being to ever enter CREATION!!”

After he said that, Hōkkami closed his eyes and began to wobble and appeared to lose his strength. He fell onto one knee and when he looked back up; his eyes were back to the original icy blue.

“Uhh, My head… did it work?” He appeared to be back to his old self, but no one dropped their guard. It could have been a trick.

Patrick looked around confused. It looked like nobody even moved since he passed out. He assumed they would look a little more beaten up after a battle.

“Umm… what happened?” It was the real Patrick, but those present didn’t quite believe him or at least were hesitant. When no one answered, he figured out that either Hōkkami or Kitaguma released him of their own accord.

So Patrick just stood there in the center of the glowing circle of ancient runes that were meant to act as the key that allowed changes in the seal to be done at all. After a few minutes of nothing, Naruto got bored quick.

“What’s the deal?! Why aren’t you doing anything?!” Naruto shouted at the still slightly confused Patrick.

“I don’t’ know! Maybe they were sucked out of me without having to be ripped from me!” Everyone doubted that possibility because of the long winded speech of the ‘perfect creation’ whatever.

But just as Patrick was about to ask the sealers who joined their ANBU teammates if they were sure they undid the seal correctly…

*SHING!*

“AHH!!” Out of nowhere, a foot-long, dark blue ice spike shot out of Patrick’s left forearm. Surprised, he jump back a little and held his arm as far away from the rest of him as possible.

The Leaf ninja quickly pointed their weapons at him after hearing him scream, but still saw that his eyes were blue. But most of all they saw the large spike jutting out from his extended arm.

“What the hell?” Tsunade muttered under her breath. “Patrick, did you do that?!”
Patrick was just as confused and twice as worried as everyone else. “I-I didn’t do this! It sort of looks like a variation of my frost armor! But something’s different…” Patrick nervously poked it a few times. “It’s like it’s… ali-!”

*SHING!SHING!SHING!SHING!SHING!SHING!*

Suddenly another spike popped up on his right calf, then his right shoulder, and they just kept popping up! More and more were spouting up on various parts of his body in rapid succession until you couldn’t even see his body past all the spikes, tattered shreds of his clothes hung from the spikes like a weird Christmas tree. Shorter ones even appeared on the smaller parts of his body like his fingers and neck. Several grew on his head, but not nearly as many as his body, giving him a sort of spike afro mixed in with his short, white hair. He had to hold both his arms out and keep his legs spread just to keep from stabbing himself!!

“W-W-What’s going on!!”

Tsunade guessed that he this was the beginning from the ‘Perfect Body’ plan, but knew that it wasn’t complete as long as Patrick’s consciousness was still present. Just after the last spike grew out of his back, they all began to glow a deep navy blue and started to pulsate.
And just as suddenly as they appeared, the rigid ice began to sag slightly as if melting, but something else happened.

Instead of melting, they became softer like rubber, but no less cold and starting moving around like worms. All of a sudden the spikes quickly wrapped themselves tightly around Patrick’s body, constricting him like hundreds of short, blue snakes forcing the air out of his lungs along with a shrill cry of pain.

“AAHHHH!!!” The spikes continued to tighten and wrap around his body, sending shocks of pain from every part of his body as they moved around and squeezed literally every part of his body.

The only area of Patrick’s body that was visible was his face, which was contorted in look of extreme pain, but even that uncovered area wouldn’t be uncovered for long as one of the tendrils wrapped itself around his forehead, then another over his upper lip and several other joined in until not a single part of his skin or shredded clothes were viable. He went from spiky blue Christmas tree to creepy blue mummy.

Then the ice tendrils began to glow again and started to melt together and the ice itself now began to pulsate with the glowing. But the pulsation was different, the first time it was just simply glowing bright then glowing softly and so on. This time the ice itself was pulsating at a strange but familiar beat.

Then Tsunade realized. “It’s…a heartbeat!!”

As the ice continues to go ‘thump-thump’, it also kept melting together. And while it was melting more details came out of the shape it was turning into. The ice completely enveloped Patrick’s form as it grew bigger and bigger, arms extending with rounded hands with small nubs for fingers until sharp, serrated, foot long claws grew out of them. The creature that was Patrick continued to grow in height as well as more details became clearer. A cone-ish shape began to grow from the face and split in half in a top and bottom and had a rectangular tip. The muzzle of a dog.

Opening its mouth slightly, those present could see several three inch-long ice fangs jutted themselves out from both the top and bottom jaws as the newly formed tongue rubbed them up and down, getting acquainted with its new mouth.

Long, folded back ears rested on top of the fully formed head as the creature entered its final stages of development. The tendrils gathered in the back and started to wrap around each other like a thick braid growing out into a 6 foot-long tail. Finally dark grey fur of soiled snow and frost began to coat the creature while the inside still gave off a deep, blue glow.
The final product of the nightmarish transformation was a giant bipedal wolf-creature that stood at 7 and a half feet tall and appeared to either be asleep or extremely calm as it didn’t make the tiniest movement, even the Byakugan didn’t pick up any signs of life in the monster.

The pulsating had stopped as soon as the fur started growing so it just stood there. An unexpected cold wind blew fiercely around the ninja, stirring up dust and small rocks forcing them to shield their eyes, but not even fazing the monster inside of the rune circle.
Slowly the creature raised its head and opened its eyes. Deep blood red with black slitted pupils that slowly glided up toward the bright and glowing full moon above it.

“HAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!”
