A comparison a friend wanted me to do of a true Sabre and Thylacosmilus, I'm off on a few details though.Related content

Sabre (Saber)-toothed cats were cats so they had retractable claws. Other then that this is just so great!

Thanks for the comment and the fave but the comparison is between a Sabre tooth cat(the spotted one) and a thylacosmilus which translate to pouched sabre, they weren't cats more like a relative of the kangaroo so they didn't have retractable claws like cats do.

Yes thylacosmilus was a marsupial, however smilodon was a true cat from the the smilodontinae saber-toothed cats and in the machiarodont genus of cat. So I should think smilodon should have retractable claws shouldn't they? Either way the drawing is great!

Oh I see well those arenβt claws I was trying to make it look more like real big cats toes with the furs they have at the end of their toes

i mean this that they have long tail,not tail like smilodon or lynx...i love color of this thylacosmilus
