Description
I drew this last year for June 6th (D-Day) commemoration. Perhaps not as respectful as some other commemoration art for the 100th armistice day but it's all I've got to post right now. We stood in silence at our village cenotaph this morning at the 11th hour, the little French village we call home was bombed during the liberation of France by the British. The true horror or war hits a little deeper knowing that.Long live peace!

I think pinups got their start as artwork on the front of military aircraft.Β It was a needed distraction to give the boys a reason to come home.Β It may not be PC today but 100 years ago it was right in line.Β Great piece.
