Okay, I'm sneaking this in here, cos she's on holiday and won't notice for a while.

I wanted to try pixelating a person / portrait, so I picked on, stole and exploited the image of Plug1nbaby , cos I like to make up reasons to stalk young girls on the web. Ahem, no, I mean ... oh well, we all need a hobby ...

Damn, it's difficult. Oh, it looks easy ... but no I was decieved! Finding edges, making decisions about colours where on the original it's a dithery smudge - it's insane - all pixel artists are INSANE (you guys know who you are and that I'm taking about YOU!)

I've tried a few different techniques - outlines vs shading - all of them mind-numbingly confusing. I'll stick to the isometric stuff I think - nice friendly geometric shapes in bright colours ... little, friendly, happy blocky things ...

Proper pixel artists are nutters - and deserve no sympathy! Self inflicted nonsense I tell you!
