Description
It's funny; in the early stages this creature was meant to have a volcanic habitat yet the more I developed it, it slowly grew into the exact opposite. Now I just want to ride one of these beasts! From an evolutionary standpoint, these creatures thrived based on their natural camouflage. Having a symbiotic and energetic connection to the forest it lives in, it happily wanders around searching for anything that may need healing. The holes on it's head act as a natural filter, converting any harmful spores or pollution into a clean form of air in order to help maintain a balance in air quality. When they are not needed, they spend large amounts of time sleeping in shallow bodies of water. I imagine them being very gentle and peaceful. Mammoth in size, with sloth-like movements. Microscopic tendrils on the bottom of it's palms allow it to attach to the sides of trees and climb to higher or lower elevations. It should also be noted the sheer rarity of these creatures. It has no predators, and has no prey; using only photosynthesis as it's means of regeneration and food. Literally having emerged from a tree during birth, their mothers plant the developing embryo into safe and secure holes in trees. These guardians roam forests that have not yet been tainted by man, and dies of a broken heart if any deforestation occurs within it's birth forest.
