im asked allot about WIFI password cracking and im working on a writeup about it and about WEP WPA WPA2 and WPA2-PSKi thought id post this here to get people in to required hardware and software
required hardware is an aircrack-ng based monitoring card with packet injection AND monitoring ... the alfa 1000mw card is mine of choice and $30 on amazon USD
hardware is a linux distro with linux kernal 2.6 or above ... if you get backtrack 5 and my exploit kit its all there for you

yeah its safe and yes you can ... i suggest backtrack live CD ... you can crack any WEP encrypted network grab the WEP key write it down go back in to windows and use free internet
legality of this is in a grey ariea and only the state of maryland has laws to prevent it but 99% of the time it goes unnoticed and its EXPECIVE as hell to track
not to mention the 1000mw card can reach over 2 miles if your high enough

It would probably be better if you were building and programming a portable wrist-mounted hacking device to make use of this. (Then you could probably let me in on it... )
