"I keep looking at these legs, these artificial extensions to my life and "usefulness", as an odd, neutral feeling sweeps over me. Thanks to them I am still alive, thanks to them I still have a chance, but I cannot help but feel bitter towards them due to their very definition and purpose. They were not installed out of kindness, but out of necessity, not out of generosity, but out of a desire towards profit and the extension of an investment.And I am puzzled, still unsure whether or not I should thank the doctors and surgeons who installed them."

This is all done in graphite pencils of varying hardnesses. I have dabbled in graphite before, and this is my third time using my new pencils. I do plan on doing more graphite art, and would very much appreciate pointers and feedback on it. I also coloured it in photoshop using a new technique. I'm quite pleased how it turned out, but would appreciate feedback.

You really do quite an amazing job with traditional media. How much coloring was actually done in Photoshop because it all looks traditional to me?

All of the colouring was done in photoshop, I used a layer over a fully shaded graphite drawing.

Very beautiful work! You seem to have a good grasp of subtle colors, and the lack of both highlights and deep shadow helps convey the mood of the piece. The character's expression and body language also tie into the piece, bringing out his mixed emotions. You did a lot of work toward matching the piece to its title, and to the story, and it shows.
Excellent work. Keep it up! You could get work as a cover artist if you hone your skills.
