I am submitting this art piece to the "Wacom: Bring Your Vision To Life - Dreams" Contest.

This piece really means a lot to me. It is an acrylic painting on canvas board, and I really don't know how it came about. I was in my art class one day and I was just so depressed and stressed out. I had taken some time off of my first art project and decided to release all my inner turmoil out on another piece of canvas. I didn't really know what I was going to do; I just picked colors that I thought were comforting and calming to me, and I took my brush across the canvas and everywhere blue started to bloom.
At first I thought I'd try to make something out of it, but then I just went along with my strokes. I dabbled and dotted, stroked and smoothed, and the paint just exploded into this wondrous picture.
I like to think that it's a little bit of the ocean mixed into an outerspace galaxy, but I really don't know what it is. I had, in fact, titled it "Dreamworld" in my art class, and for me it signifies all my thoughts, hopes, wishes and dreams. Every color and different stroke is a single part of me. It's where I'd go when I'm having a difficult time or I need to think by myself.
For me, this piece really feels like home. All of my emotions are woven into it through the paint, and I feel like if I could go to my Dreamworld, I would be able to be myself, and live and breathe without complications. I could build my life on this canvas, and I could tell stories from it. Each one would be different, and I'd follow wherever my dreams would take me.

So what started out to be nothing but a relaxing way to get my frustration and anxiety out in my own way through artwork turned into this beautiful, confusing world of my own thoughts and feelings. My "Dreamworld" was born.
