I am trying to be more secure with my human art and improve,as i kind of struggle with it, so comments are always appreciated <3

Little scene from the start of a roleplay with ,which will play as canon story for some of my characters, especially Zackary. This was way in the start of the whole INVERTED universe,so this is a glimpse of Zack being still human and with-a different personality for sure. The two will be lovers but unfortunately that will not last.....

I will try to draw more scenes to narrate a story <3

It had been a couple of really rough years, since all had started. No one really knew how something that was supposed to be a cure ended up being so devastating worldwide, leaving people to defend themselves. Of course there were people that were more than happy to not have to depend on a government, trhive on theyr own and do what they wanted- but in the state the world was right now, it was wishful thinking to even survive outside,to start somewhere new. At least thats how great part of the population saw it, and with the whole world able to see on screens what this Cure was capable of, every person with a right mind wouldn't ever wish to see the outside world again. Thoose who were lucky or strong enough, found structures they could call home, reinforcing them to the point the outside danger would never be seen trough the walls,or so people hoped.

This was the case for Zack , who managed to slide into a safe place, but alone. No family members of friends made it inside with him,either cause they got devided or died. But that was long time ago now, or so it felt like it.
Resting on a porch, his arms crossed on a small wooden fence,he was enjoying his break from medical duties with some fresh air. He has seen way too much blood in all the time he has been here, and he can't lie that some people lost theyr life cause of his inadequate knowledge to be a doctor. But at least, he did enough to find a place in this community.

Watching a group of people, he scoffed seeing that one strange team of scoutss/scavengers ,seemingly either about to get outside or just got back 'fucking idiots...' he tought,as he really would never wish to be at theyr place,nor didnt see the point. Zack was more of the idea to maybe start coltivate food inside more, rather than going outside and risk lives so often. Tough his interest was on one guy, that was currently talking to others,and made Zack wear a faint smile for a bit. It was NO secret Mason may have shown a soft spot for him, the whistleling and straight up flirting jokes as they crossed roads seemed an obvious sign. And while Zack was not taking this too seriously, he liked the guy attitude.

Mason has been around this safe heaven since the beginning. When the scorpions headquarter first sent him here with his group. He loved going outside and get the chance to help other groups and bring back new vehicles, medication, food. He loved to go hunting with his people and he loooved the attention he got whenever they returned from a trip. Especially the ladies fell in line to get to talk to them. He enjoyed every minute of attention from them, but he also didnt tune down his quite obvious flirtings with the guys - While most saw it as simple joking, he also mostly saw it as some buddy, buddy typa thing. Well, Unless it came down to one certain guy in this camp once the girls have grabbed the guys they wanted to get in bed with and god knows what.

Mason placed the rest of his bags into the back of the truck and shot another little look towards Zack. The blackhaired guy sure was eyecandy. And Mason was all in for eyecandy.

Mason looked first left and right before he passed the busy camping compartment with all the cars. And he strolled over all casually towards the medical staff of the camp. He put his hands in his pockets and stopped now just infront of the porch where zack was leaning to.
"Is our doctor catching a break?" He asked now as he mad his way up the two stairs aaand stepped right next to zack, also leaning onto the wooden fence. But only with his left arm as his body was mostly turned towards zack. "Rough day? I saw that we got quite a few new faces in here" He pointed out now, Especially because the newest rescue team just brought back like 40 people that needed to be first medically checked up before they even were allowed to enter the main base. He did wonder what it was like to work as a doctor. Mason only knew the moooost important -- extremely hasty medical things. Incase one of his team mates got injured on a mission or anything. But that's it. He was never too big on medical things. Buuut it was something that made him curious about others.-

Seeing Mason coming over,zack sighed as he knew where this was going to end up to,but he sure as hell wasn't going to be the shy guy. Rising a brow as he kept getting closer,zack didn't budge a inch and just let him invade his personal space "yeah ,lot of people that right now are happy of the safe place,but soon will start whining about the jobs ,the usual. So what about you,still no bite marks on your skin? You guys had been going out more and more frequently recently, you make me almost worry that the light on your bracelet will turn red one of these days" he said ,mentioning a circular object, like a wristwatch, on Mason arm. Zack had it too,and they both were faint green. It was an object capable to tell if the blood of the person wearing it was sane or not,and everyone had to have it on to avoid emergencies.

"I actually got a very awkward bite mark. On a very awkward spot. But it ended up not being of any danger" He said with a smug smile then. "The more awkward part of it was that it had been an older woman that totally lost her mind while we were holding off a horde." He told zack the story now.

Zack chuckled some at his story and face,finding him quite goofy and charming in his own way. Turning to let his back rest on the fence and look fully towards Mason "so is that the excuse of you not asking me out for dinner yet? cause boy at this point even all your men from your squad know about your intentions a, or is this lady you are talking about already claimed you with that bite?" he suddenly came out with that, still keeping a jokeful tone , but it was a true question. It was up to Mason to get it as a real flirt or just teasing. " if it wasn't for your bold attitude i would think you may be scared to ask it ~" He teased some,as he knew Mason probably wouldn't like to be exposed like this,but Zack had been waiting long enough and wanted to see how he would react to it.

Mason was taking zacks chuckle as a victory in his books! He made him laugh, Check. BUT mason suuuddenly was thrown aback a little as Zack asked him out of the blue, why he didnt ask him out for dinner yet.

He disliked it to be at a sort of disadvantage. And Zacks question made him feel exactly that! Sooo He puffed up a little with his chest, acting all tough now. Clearly a bit over the top xD. "Well then, Zackary." he started and pushed himself gently away from the fence and stepped up to him while zack was still leaned with his back on the fence. Mason put each hand on either side of Zack. Wrapping his hands around the wooden Fence. Basicaly locking zack in between the fence and 'him.' "Does the handsome doctor want to go on a date with the bravest soldier of the camp?" he asked him. Being only an inch away from actually having their lips touch at this point. YES their flirting has been quite obvious and the whole damn camp might know about them by now. BUT this was the very first time mason got this close to zack. And while he did so, he truly admired his partners eyes in the sunlight. This doc here made him feel weak in aways mason never would have thought is possible. Maybe it scared him a little. But for the most part. It intrigued Mason even more to get closer to him.

Zack kept a sly smile on,seeing in Mason eyes that he sure got trown off by that,even if it didnt last not even a minute. Tough he kind of regretted his move as Mason got reaaal close to him, blocking any way to escape him.
okay maybe he shouldn't have teased him that much

Trying to not show that he was actually less secure of the situation than what he gave out with his speech, he scoffed at Mason question,meeting his green eyes with Mason's blue ones. "hmm...who knows, maybe i do want to..." he said with a lower voice, feeling the privacy of the moment as he could feel the warmth of his partner breath so close to him, pulling the sides of his cloak to fix it around Mason,and probably as an excuse touch him. Honestly, he was amazed on how he didnt feel his face burn up by him being this close yet. "BUT. I reeeally really REALLY have to work now ~" he said then,patting his chest and searching for a way out of his grip "i am pretty sure you know very well were i sleep at by now don't you, someone could come for said date whenever they are free" He managed to keep his composure ,but he couldn't lie Mason close presence made him skip a beat, even tough he wasn't one to show it clearly.

Mason was certain this was probably gonna be the moment the two would actually have their first intimate moment. And he felt the heat rising up between the two of them and he actually was close to initiate a kiss.

BUT then zack spoke up.

Woahh, did he just get denied? What happened?
Mason cleared his throat again and turned around watching zack slowly leave. "U-Uh, yeah. I know where you're at." He said all tough as if this situation didnt just throw him off again... Man what was this guy about? He heated him all up and now he let him cool off just like that.. It did get mason kind of antsyy. He reaaallllly wanted to get closer to zack physically. But the more he got denied and kept just back a bit like zack just did, it made him even more curious. He wanted to really get to know this guy.. It was rare he had such a big interest in anyone but himself.. So that was a damn first. "Soo, see ya tonight. " He winked at zack now with a cocky smile buuut just as Zack left into the building, masons smile faded and he tipped his head back frustratedd. "what are you doing to meee ~~~ " he groaned. Usualy he was the most confident guy ever and this dude kept throwing him off his confidency boosts like it was nothing-
