Description
(Please note: all characters are over 18, despite their choice in underwear)"Watch out there!" Colleen jumped at the sound of a voice behind her in the school corridor. A male student walked past, carrying two very large jugs of water. "Hey, Colleen. They asked me to take these up to the chem lab for this afternoon."
After the boy had gone, Colleen slipped into the girls toilet and stood in front of the mirror, checking her make up. She reached into her bag and pulled out a mascara, then carefully adjusted the lashes around her deep brown eyes. Stepping back from the mirror she gave her dark hair a tug in its ponytail.
"Good enough." She said to herself, reaching under her blouse and adjusting her bra straps.
"Colleen?" Collrent looked around at the voice, she had assumed the toilet was empty.
"Yes?" She said. One of the stall doors opened to reveal a petite girl with bright blue eyes and unruly red hair. "Hey, Alice."
"I'm so glad it's you." Alice said, "I need some help."
"Sure, what's up?"
"I split my trousers."
"Really?" Colleen smiled.
"Really." Alice nodded.
"How badly?"
"Bad enough."
"Let me see."
"Do you have to?"
"I want to see how bad it is."
"Pretty bad." Alice turned to present the rear of her dark grey uniform trousers to her friend. The threadbare material was parted up the middle and Minnie Mouse was smiling out from a white background.
"You're wearing Minnie Mouse knickers?!"
"Yes, I know. You see why I need some help?"
"Okay, what can I do?"
"What do you think? Go and get me some new trousers!"
"Sure, yeah. Except I don't have a spare pair with me."
"You don't have your PE kit?"
"It's at home. You?"
"No, not on a Wednesday."
"I bet Shannon has hers," Colleen suddenly thought, "she does tennis after school on a Wednesday."
"Great, can you go to her?"
"I have to be in History in five minutes, she isn't in that class with me."
"No, she's in Physics with me."
"You'll have to ask her yourself."
"I can't walk the corridors like this!"
"I'll walk behind you until you get to Physics, then when you go in and talk to Shannon I'll book it to History."
"Are you sure this'll work?"
"Worth a try. Come on, we'd better get going otherwise I'm leaving you here until lunch."
Alice stepped out of the stall and walked to the door to the corridor.
"Stay right behind me, okay?"
"Like a tail." Colleen nodded.
The two girls walked into the corridor, Alice turned to the right and Colleen took two steps to the left before realising her mistake and hurrying back to her position behind her friend.
"Colleen!"
"Sorry! I forgot you have Physics in the east corridor."
"I do. Come on."
"So, how did this happen?" Colleen asked, sneaking another look at the tear up Alice's trousers.
"I dropped an earring." Alice replied, "I either bent too hastily, or they were just a bit old and worn out..."
"Or your bum is getting a bit big."
"Hopefully not. Turning right here."
"I'm right with you."
The girls went around the corner and reached a classroom, where Alice slowed down.
"Okay, here I go."
"Good luck. I need to hurry so I'm not late for History."
"Thanks."
Colleen dashed back the way they had come and Alicd nervously stepped into the classroom. She felt much more exposed now, knowing that humiliation could come at any moment if her underwear was noticed. Alice saw Shannon sitting at a desk and hurried over, quickly dropping into the seat next to her.
"Hey, girl." Shannon smiled.
"Hi. So, do you have your PE kit with you?"
"Er, in my locker, why?"
"I've had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction, I need to borrow something."
"What have you done now?"
Alice quickly recapped the story again, Shannon's smile got broader.
"Okay," she said at the end, "after the lesson we'll stop by my locker."
The girls stopped talking, along with the rest of the class, as the teacher entered.
"Right, class," she said as they settled down, "on Monday we started with your presentations about the Second World War, I think we can get through the rest of you today."
"Oh, no." Alice whispered to Shannon, "I forgot I have to do my presentation! What am I going to do?"
"Bad luck, girl."
"You have to help me!"
"How can I help? I can't get you the trousers before you have to stand up."
"I know, but we didn't get through all the presentations last lesson because they took too long. If you go before me, and ramble on for long enough, she won't get to me and I won't have to stand up!"
"You think that'll work?"
"I think we have to try."
"Alice." The teacher looked up from the list she was holding, "We got up to you last time so you're going first today."
"Oh, Miss, er..."
"Something wrong?"
"No, just, Shannon was working on her presentation with me and she's really eager to go first."
"Really? Shannon Edwards actually wants to present her work?"
"Oh, yes, Miss." Shannon tried to look enthusiastic.
"Well, I can't pass up this opportunity. Come on up, Shannon."
"You owe me." Shannon muttered to Alice as she stood and made her way to the front of the room, smoothing down her uniform.
She took her place at the front, holding a very thin sheaf of papers to talk from.
"The life of a child evacuated from London was confusing and uncertain..." She began. Barely five minutes later she reached "in conclusion..." and looked at the teacher and class's nonplussed faces. Her presentation stammered to an end and she saw Alice at the back frantically gesturing for her to talk longer.
"Are you done, Shannon?" The teacher asked.
"Oh, no, Miss." Shannon said, moving her papers around.
"Wasn't that your conclusion?"
"That was a conclusion, Miss. But I'm going to go on to explore, erm... How evacuees were portrayed in films."
"Yes?"
"And... How accurately this was done."
"What films were you thinking?"
"Oh, ah, Bedknobs and Broomsticks?"
"A film about magic and cartoon animals? How realistic that was?"
"Well, not that bit, obviously. But looking at the other bits, you can see, well, actually..." She flicked through her papers and in her flustered state they dropped to the carpet. "Oops. One moment..." She hurriedly bent over to grab them.
RRRIIPP!!
The class exploded with laughter as Shannon's trousers went taut over her rear and then, overstretched, split up her backside. The dark grey material parted to reveal bright red underwear adorned with colourful stars.
"Oh no!" Shannon grabbed at her seat, "My trousers!"
The teacher didn't even try and regain order over the laughing class as Shannon hurried back to her chair, her face turning as red as her exposed underwear.
"I don't believe it." Shannon said as she sat down next to Alice again.
"In my defence, I did not know that would happen." Alice replied.
"Okay, settle down, now." The teacher eventually said, "I think Shannon's probably done. Alice, it's your turn now."
"But, Miss... I'd really rather not."
"Why not?"
"Well, you see..." Alice gulped, "I split my trousers."
"No, that was Shannon, we all saw her."
"No, she's done it as well!" A girl sitting in the row behind Alice called out, "And she's got Minnie Mouse on her knickers!"
Half an hour later the bell rang and Alice and Shannon hurried into the corridor, where they both flattened their backs against the wall. Both had cheeks burning red with embarrassment. Alice had managed to get out of doing her presentation, but only because she had been through such humiliation. The pupils following them into the corridor were still singing,
"M-I-N! N-I-E! M-O-U-S-E! Minnie Mouse!"
"I really wish I hadn't worn this pair today." Alice groaned.
The two girls shuffled along sideways, avoiding showing their backsides to anyone, as the class broke up still laughing and chattering. The girls had a feeling half the school would know about their embarrassment by the afternoon.
"Hey, you two okay?" Colleen walked up to them.
"Been better." Shannon replied.
"So, that little wardrobe malfunction I had?" Alice added, "I'm not the only one."
"Shannon?" Colleen looked at the blonde girl.
"In front of the whole class." Shannon nodded. "But at least you're here now, can you run to my locker and get my PE kit?"
"I don't suppose there's anything in there I could wear as well?" Alice asked hopefully.
"Probably not," Shannon admitted, "but once I'm dressed again then there'll be the two of us to help you."
"I'll be right back." Colleen nodded, turning to leave and completely failing to notice the puddle leaking out of a nearby water fountain until her foot skidded on the wet floor and she fell down, one leg in front of her and the other behind.
RRRIIPP!
"Ooh, that's torn it!" Colleen exclaimed. Slightly pained by her unexpected gymnastics she clambered to her feet and looked over her shoulder at her friends, "How bad is it?"
"You made fun of my Minnie Mouse knickers?" Alice laughed, "And the whole time you had My Little Pony on yours!"
"They're not actually My Little Pony," Colleen explained as she shuffled back to join the other girls against the wall, "just generic unicorns." She remember clearly what panties she was wearing- purple with bright rainbow unicorns flying across in all directions. "So, what now?"
"I don't think we can stay here all day." Shannon said, "Most of the school will be in lunch right now, so this is our best chance to go somewhere."
"I was hoping to go to lunch," Alice said, "it's tacos today!"
"I'm starving as well, but I'd rather not go to a room full of people right now." Colleen replied.
"Fine. But where are we going to go?"
"Sewing class, to fix these?"
"Shannon sucks at sewing."
"Hey!"
"Well, you do."
"I know."
"Plus they started locking it because they're worried about health and safety with the needles and scissors and things."
"I could still get my PE kit."
"You could, but that wouldn't help us."
"What about looking in lost property? There might be some clothes there we can put on."
"You think someone lost a pair of trousers and left them behind? Or three pairs, even?"
"Maybe not, but there's usually shorts or something. It's the best idea we've got, unless you want to try and staple our clothes back together."
"All right, lost property it is."
"Hold on," Shannon interjected, "my locker is just a couple of corridors away, I'd rather put my PE kit on before going all the way to the nurse's office."
"It's the wrong direction, though." Colleen pointed out.
"I know. Look, I'll head to my locker and I'll meet you at the nurse's office. And then you'll only have to try and find two things to wear, not three."
"All right, see you in a few minutes." Alice said, and Shannon began to edge herself along the wall away from them. Alice turned to Colleen, "Now we just have to worry about getting ourselves to lost property without being seen."
"I say we brave it out."
"What do you mean?"
"Look at how Shannon shuffled away just now, clearly trying to hide her bum. She looked like a girl who's split her pants. But if we just walk normally, no one will suspect anything."
"Unless they get behind us."
"Unless that, yes."
"Worth a try, I suppose."
With the hallway temporarily empty, the girls stepped away from the wall and, trying their best to act natural despite the humiliation they felt at their predicament, walked to the end of the corridor. They slipped through a door and stood outside.
"Okay, come on." Alice said, turning to the left.
"Where are you going?" Colleen asked, having half-turned right.
"Lost property, we covered this."
"Aren't we going across the little playground?"
"Going across the big one is quicker."
"But there's going to be more people there."
"Yes, probably, but it's more spread out so there's probably a way to get across unseen. The little one has fewer people but they'll be closer together, and thus closer to us. Plus this way is quicker."
"There's a reason you won the interhouse debate." Colleen smiled, "Lead on, then."
Colleen started to follow Alice to the left, but as she did there was another tearing noise and the right leg of Colleen's trousers detached from the rest of the garment and hung from the door, where it had snagged on a nail.
"Oh, no!" Colleen looked at her right leg, now bare from her white sock up the her knickers, showing the white lace trim around the leg hole. The remaining half of the trousers flapped open and Alice laughed.
"That's Rainbow Dash on the front of your pants!" Alice exclaimed, "I knew they were My Little Pony ones!"
"Okay, fine." Colleen held her hands over the smiling Pegasus on the front of her underwear, "I wear MLP undies. But you recognised Rainbow Dash!"
"It has her name written right underneath her." Alice pointed out.
"Stop looking! Oh, I can't cross a playground like this!"
"We can't stay here either, in about twenty minutes the bell is going to ring and a lot of other pupils are going to want to come right through this door."
"You're right. You're going to have to cover me."
"You're taller than me." Alice pointed out.
"You don't have to cover my head," Colleen explained, "just my legs."
"All right, let's do this, then."
The girls rounded a corner of one of the school's old redbrick buildings and confronted the playground, where dozens of younger children were running and playing. Colleen gulped, but saw no way around this. She walked next to Alice, one leg bare in her half-trousers comprised of a left leg and a ragged waistband. Alice tried to act natural, as if she did not have a large hole torn up the back of her own clothing.
"Just act natural." Alice murmured.
"Just keep between me and the rest of the school." Colleen replied.
"You know, I think we just might make this." Alice said.
"Oh. My. God." A voice came from behind them.
"You had to say it, didn't you?" Colleen sighed.
"What happened to you two?" The voice came again, and both girls reluctantly turned to face an attractive girl with wavy strawberry-blonde hair and an enviable figure.
"Hi, May." Alice said.
"What happened to your uniforms?" May laughed, "You look ridiculous!"
"Just a bit of an accident." Colleen blushed.
"A bit!" May repeated, "And great underwear by the way- Minnie Mouse and My Little Pony! You two are such dorks!"
"Look, we're on our way to get some new clothes now..." Alice tried to explain.
"Hold on, hold on." May said, pulling out her mobile phone, "I have to get a picture of this!"
"No!" Colleen jumped behind Alice to hide from the camera phone, while her friend tried to twist away and do the same, but Colleen unwittingly grabbed a handful of Alice's blouse as she did. The white cotton was pulled taut across Alice's front and then the small buttons began to detach and fly off with popping noises.
"Col!" Alice exclaimed as she saw her front exposed, first her stomach and then her small but well-formed pert breasts held by a simple pink bra.
"Sorry!" Colleen gasped, releasing Alice's blouse as she saw what she had done, "It was an accident!"
"Oh, you two are hilarious!" May said as she clicked away on her phone, "Such a pair of losers!"
"I don't think there's any point in stealth anymore." Colleen said.
"Nope," Alice agreed, "run!"
The embarrassed girls turned and fled, faces burning red with humiliation as May took more photos and other pupils began to realise what was happening, pointing and laughing at the two embarrassed girls.
The girls skidded to a stop around a corner.
"I think we got away." Alice panted for breath, exposed chest heaving.
"I hope so." Colleen replied, looking at the door next to them, "And we made it to the nurse's office."
"Great." Alice said, pushing her bright hair out of her eyes, "Let's go in, then."
"About that..." Colleen said, tugging at the door handle. The door refused to move, and a notice taped in the window explained why, pronouncing the nurse was out today for training and to see form tutors for first aid.
"You've got to be kidding me." Alice exclaimed, "Now what?"
"We can't go back across the playground." Colleen said.
"Definitely not." Alice agreed, "We need to get at the lost property box."
"What about that way?" Colleen pointed at a window standing ajar next to the door.
"Climb through the window?"
"Unless you know how to pick locks. I think you can fit through there."
"If we get caught doing this..."
"Let's not get caught."
"Right then." Alice pulled the window as far open as it could go. With one foot on the windowsill and Colleen giving her a leg up, she leaned in through the small gap. She wiggled her head, shoulders, arms through, then sucked in her chest as much as she could.
"Good, carry on." Colleen said.
"I'd like to..." Alice's voice was muffled by the glass as she hung half-in, "...but I'm stuck."
"Stuck?"
"Stuck!" Alice squirmed, but her plump buttocks were wedged in the window and holding her fast.
"Oh my God, you're Winnie the Pooh!" Colleen laughed.
"Help me out!" Alice's head was hanging lower then the rest of her and she was beginning to feel dizzy.
"You could try a crash diet?"
"I won't eat anything while I'm stuck in this window. Give me a push!"
Colleen reached up and got two handfuls of Alice's backside and shoved as hard as she could.
"Ow!"
"Sorry!"
"No, don't stop, I think it's working!"
Colleen kept pushing as instructed, Alice's split grey trousers under her hands, Minnie Mouse smiling back at her. She realised that her friend as beginning to squeeze through the window, slowly moving like a cork through a bottle.
All of a sudden Alice sped up as most of her made it through the window and gravity took over.
"Yes!" Alice shouted, then "No!" As she felt a growing draft around her legs. Her trousers did not make it through the window with her, the rest of the stitches tearing open and the ripped clothing remained hanging from the window as Alice landed on the floor in a darkened room.
"Ow." Alice got to her feet, now in her underwear from the waist down. She made her way to the door and unlocked it from the inside to let Colleen in.
"Good job." Colleen said as she ducked into the office and Alice closed the door.
"Where's the lost property box?"
"Under the desk, here."
Alice pulled a plastic crate from under the desk and the girl looked into it.
"There's not a lot here."
"PE shorts, there." Colleen picked up a dark green pair of shorts, but lifting them up showed them to be hopelessly small for either of them, being about the right size for an eleven year old.
"Headbands, pens, snack boxes." Alice sighed as she sifted through the contents of the box.
"No one's lost any clothes?!" Colleen said, getting increasingly worried as it became apparent there would be nothing here to help them.
"Just those shorts and this." Alice held up a cardigan, also several sizes too small for either of them.
There was a sudden rattling at the door as someone tried to get in.
"Ssh!" Alice whispered unnecessarily, "Hopefully they'll go away."
"Is anyone there?" A familiar voice called through the door, "Col? Alice?"
"Shannon!" Alice said, hurrying to the door and opening it. "How are... What happened?!"
"My locker door jammed," Shannon replied sheepishly, "and I snagged my blouse on it, and then my buttons got torn off, and... One thing led to another." She stepped into the office. She was now dressed in her multicoloured panties, bright pink lacy bra, odd grey socks and nothing else. "So now I have no uniform. Please tell me you have some good news."
"Not a stitch." Alice replied, tipping up the box so Shannon could see inside.
"Oh, no."
A high-pitched bell suddenly rang out.
"Lunch break is over," Colleen said, "how are we supposed to go to class like this?"
"I think we need to get out of here." Alice said.
"Well, yeah, but how?"
"No, I mean, go home."
"We can't just walk out." Shannon said.
"If we get a note from a teacher excusing us to go we can." Alice replied.
"How do we do that?"
"Professor Jones will give us one, he doesn't mind letting students go home early if they have a reason. And we're supposed to have chemistry with him now."
"I don't like the idea of walking into class in my underwear, even if it's to collect a note."
"I have an idea." Colleen said, holding up a roll of blue paper towel she had found.
Five minutes later, the three friends sheepishly approached the chemistry lab. Colleen had fashioned herself a skirt using the paper towel, Alice and Shannon were wearing full dresses made of the unlikely material, wrapped around their bodies and over their shoulders. Despite the circumstances, each of them had to admit they did not look too awful.
"All right," Alice reminded them again, "we just nip in, grab Professor Jones, explain quietly that we lost our uniforms, and get him to let us go home."
"We remember." Colleen said, pushing open the door.
On the other side the girls found two extremely large jugs of water and Professor Jones standing on a stool over them holding weights. The rest of the class had been moved back from the front.
"Ah, girls," the teacher smiled before they could say anything, "just in time to see the demonstration of water displacement, you might want to stand back a bit."
With that, he dropped the weights into the jugs. Water splashed over the top, covering the floor at the front of the class and drenching the three friends and, worst of all, their highly-soluble paper clothes.
