Description
time: 1 week to compile materials, five hours to construct/plan out, and about an hour for paint job and stain finish.
materials: Old saw with broken handle, ice tire traction chain, flexy watering hose attachment, rusted paint can lid, burner component, gas burners, scrap metal shaped into twirls, outdated wrench, 20 lb slab of scrap wood from the mechanic, large air vent, and a few rusted nails to hold it all together.
weight: a little over 50 lbs. (I sprained my leg hauling it into the minivan. )
size: a little under 4 ft. tall, don't know width.

Like I said in past deviations, my gallery has been kind of dormant because of my adamant work on several sculptures, this being one of them. I don't like to post them on DA, because there's not much to be said about them unless you've truly gone through the rigor that I have to nail a perfect composition using old nuts and bolts. I'm still not at that point yet, but I hope to get better.

as for the sculpture, the entire construction is made from items i've found half buried around the lake, sitting on top of piles of trash, and some I had to crawl over old broken down cars to get to. I didn't spend a cent.

This is quite possibly the most painful project I've ever engaged in. The piece itself is too heavy to easily carry, I had to go out and get a dolly from my mom's office to haul it around. I can't even begin to explain the effort it took to lift it into the back of the van! I'm going to have to drive like a wigged out grandma tomorrow with this thing in the back.

I used some paint left over from the mural I painted in my parents' garage.

This took a lot of work, I hope someone out there can appreciate it.
