I had wanted to finish this and completed version of Zoe ages ago, but I've been having a hell of a time figuring out how to draw the girls' faces. I've also been working on changing some of the other characters faces around to actually make them look different, besides haircuts. This is all a learning experience for me and I definitely have a long way to go, so as always critiques and criticisms and what have you are greatly appreciated

So anyway, this is Miles Down and May Flowers, who together form the folk-punk duo known as Deer And Crow. They're basically travelling hoboes who roam around the country and play music wherever they end up, and are actually rather famous as a result. They're relatively minor characters and don't appear until a little ways into the story, but I really like 'em and they're interactions with each other are great fun to write. This is the first time I've ever actually tried to draw May, like pretty much at all. I only went in with a vague idea of what I wanted her to look like, so her design could very likely change between now and the finished version. She's supposed to be Japanese, but it seems like I've only ever attempted to draw generic white people and people of generally indeterminable race, so I think I kind of screwed that up ^^'

The whole idea for the banjo/shamisen duo actually came from real life, as my good buddy ~StrayWolf-Z really wants to learn to play the shamisen and I thought it would be awesome to accompany him with the banjo. Of course, I'm not nearly good enough at playing for that sort of thing, so the next best thing I could do is write it into a story

Is any of this actually interesting, or am I just being annoying by posting these paragraphs-long explanations?
