Blender3D Comments:Artist: [link]
A beautiful render, with great lighting and good techniques which make good use of many 3D softwares such as Terragen, but primarily Blender. The attention to details and high quality textures really add a good level of realism to this piece. Great work!
Artist Comments:
that will be the new terminal for the airport on my island
rendered in blender3d in s.th. about 30 hours on an apple g4 1000
everything is modelled with blender except the airplaine tail on the right, what was done with wings3d.
the textures are made with photoshop. not so the sky, what was rendered with terragen.

30 hours!!!! What did you do? Wait i already know, you ramped up the reflection and refraction and raytraced the whole thing didn't you
The pic looks good but still needs some work i think. The scale of the airport seems very small to me, maybe it's because of the size and the grain of the tiles on the landing strip. You can test the scale of you scene by adding a human shape. I use a very simple 3D shaped human made from a plane to see if my scene has any disproportionate objects, it's a good reference maybe it wil help.
Keep up the good work

Thanks for the comment - the basic human shape for proportionality is a really good idea - you should make a little tutorial on it or atleast broadcast it to the community! i think it could help a lot of newbies get realism in their pics, just through good proportions
