Description
Thanks to some time with friends, I got out of my art rut a bit, and drew a mostly unseen character of mine, even though it has a major part in my story YAYThis is Ask'ell, the general of Chorin's (Death) armies, so is usually in charge of leading forces into strife, and also ending worlds.
A lil random(unwanted) BG info on Ask'ell:
Ask'ell is prominent and well respected, but rather ruthless when dealing with tasks or underlings. For this reason, and also due to Tiero's stubborness, Ask'ell and Tiero have a difficult time finding common ground. This dilemma eventually leads to Tiero's punishment of being permanently blinded by Fate.
Chorin is usually seen riding upon Ask'ell's back when in biped form during strife/breaking worlds. So rumors of Death riding a pale horse aren't unfound, but I'm not certain Ask'ell could really be called a horse except at a distance...
Happy with this, though I'm sad to say I messed up my own character design wise more than once while doing this ehhhhh
I really need to draw Ask'ell more....Lineart/shading done traditionally, colored in PS8

Ask'ell is hard even for me to get right, but I think I've finally got the quad form down, the biped one still messes me up for some reason. And that's about what Ask'ell's arms are-kinda branchy viney things since its soul is an earth soul. Its feet are like that too. And HAHAH that's totally what the spines do look like! I drew em like that, then watched that 'I hate nature' and I always think "cursed pinecone" or "gross walking artichoke" now everytime I draw.
The horns do have a purpose too, and I'm kinda glad you didn't notice em because that's Ask'ells trickery ho bagness there; they are supposed to be something that you don't notice, or if you do you notice only the brown one, so you focus on that, but Ask'ell will run you through so both horns pierce, with the transparent one which is hooked, so you can't get away, and then a poison of sorts seeps out of the holes in the brown one into whatever creature's body. So the horns are kinda of Ask'ell's M.O. and most used way of fucking people over ^~^

You got this done quickly since I saw it, and the coloring is great. I like the skeletal appearance of the head, and how there are no discernible eyes.

I know...I surprised even myself there. I just got hellbent on making it for some reason, which I can't complain about, i just wish I had that motivation with everything haha
Ask'ells eyes are funny, they are the four slits on the mid of the 'nose', but as you said you can't really tell that, because I'm so devious like that or something.

This is very cool! Not quite how I'd pictured the character, but certainly amazing. Have you ever considered doing the story as a graphic novel or illustrated story?

haha Thanks! It the story I sent this character was in a bit different form, a more bipedal form, so that might be why x3
And yea, when I originally had this story I had cheesy pics and stuff that were sposed to become a comic someday, but I let if fall to the way-side because my art isn't quite the level I wanted at the time, and now I think I could do it, but have no time XD
