Description
Here's a dragon-like sea creature I drew a little while back, sometime last year. Can't remember when really, but it's a cool drawing!All those feather-like fins I imagine are very flexible spines, very sharp, and can spike out like a lionfish. And it's jaw can look smaller than it is at first sight, there is a bit of a hint in the shading it can open it's mouth wider, relative to it's size, that's probably important to mention.
Everything in the background includes my love of shading, particle effects, covering my hand in graphite shading and impressing my thumb on to the paper. It can be seen that way, or with the creature is half way out of the water, under water completely and floating over sand, or something else. I'm having fun trying to see it different ways, you are welcome to as well

Another thing I noticed is that after looking through all my drawings here, I realize I really need to practice more poses again! Lots of illustrations, but poses/positions are important to animation and are my downfall ;-;
Whelp, guess it's time to step further out of my comfort zone! ^^
