Of course they are possessed, that's an important part of their history. Part 1 of Out of Order is explaining how the bite of 87 was an accident,
Also the phone guy is Fritz and he said it himself "Foxy was his favorite" so I'm just making them friends in the comic. The animatronics almost know nothing about their history but know a few things...*leaves you in suspense*..... Lol
