Time, wish of the Sacrifice. || 30inch tall x something wide || watercolourThis is a new cover for ASPS Part 2 [link] and is the 4th addition to my series of paintings dedicated to high vocabulary words that start with s. Although sacrifice isn't really a high vocab word ... but you know it COULD be. The other three are Saternine, Sanguine, and Sanctify. I drew this idea in June, redrew in July, partially colored in photoshop in August, lost my file in August, transferred drawing to watercolour paper in September, painted in October, and am finally done after scanning it NINE TIMES. AT 400 DPI. (clap please) Note - if you hadn't figured it out yet, I title my serious deviations l i k e t h i s.
I might post another deviation later of detail shots.

One question, what is up with the part that looks like a knee, above the clock? It seems so out of place, am I missing something symbolic here? Very curious. Increases my fascination with this though.

but I could never create something like this.

This reminds me of the artwork to the GC game Ikaruga.... I dont know why but it kinda does. Do not get me wrong and think I'm tellin you it's unoriginal and/or run-of-the-mill... cuz I think quite the opposite, I like this one loads and will be more than happy to be number 511 on the favorites list... hell I'm stalkin you NOW!
It's quite nice... I dont understand what ya mean by it's title, but meh I suppose I'm just nuking it. How you make the scene look so damp is just beyond my imagination. Really this kicks @$$ big time. I'll be looking forward to more of your work.

oh wow, love the slightly runny streaked effect, and the umbrella are wonderful. The firgure is slightly contrasting, and I don't like it as much, but still, the piece as a whole is wonderful. Deeply evocative. +favving...

I love the background and umbrellas, though the charector style throughs me off. You'd really expect something more whispy in this enviroment, not something so substantial. The clock is really eye-catching too, well done. Congrads on dailydev!

i must say...i saw this on the side of some comments and was simply intreaged by the name...what i could c of the pic wasn't much, but it too was intreaging. once i full-screaned it, i absolutely loved it.i wish i could get a copy of it. u should make a print of this.
