let's hear it for year six of digital art! this year was certainly a lot different than others for me, and as usual, i'll be talking about it a little below! thank you to everyone whose supported my art, be it recently or through the years, you all are the reason i keep making art <3

somehow, i think i drew less than last year?? man i really peaked with my art activity in 2015 huh. this year has been a lot of stress for me irl and so much has happened, trying to adjust to life changes unfortunately doesn't translate into a whole lot of art. much like last year, but this year was a whole different flavor of adulting for me.

anyways, as you can see, i can basically just sum up 2019 in: i was allowed to draw cats at some point. there's a few sprinkled in every now and then (i do my best to try and keep a pretty even distribution of art), but this was certainly a dragon centric year. also i made a mistake of taking on so much complex work in september that im STILL trying to finish up, and most of it happened to be dragon. lesson learned i suppose haha

so, the art itself. you know, im not too sure how to feel about this year. ive had pretty constant feelings of my art growing stagnant, and i've tried pushing for more complex posing in the later months. however, i still feel like it isn't enough, and 2020 might bring about some style changes to fit something that i feel happier with! this year has definitely been the best for me in terms of backgrounds, as much as i hate doing them, i gotta say that i'm proud of how they turned out. also, for once, i actually fulfilled one of last year's wishes! that was for more completed pieces, and man, i certainly have quite a few of those.

and its time for next year's outlook! as mentioned earlier, i want to push my style a bit. maybe go for a little more semi-realism in my pieces? im also looking to maybe focus on more oc and fanart! we'll see what happens haha
