all in pencil. used a couple of reference photos, but in terms of shading and whatnot, i kinda feel like i've peaked xDalso, i couldn't decide what category to put it in - it probably really isn't macabre and horror at all

Oh I have several.
Β On my left arm I have LOVE written across my wrist. I have a guitar and I have "DO OR DIE" in the lead singer of Papa Roach's handwriting. On my right arm I have STRENGTH across my wrist. I also have Live on Purpose, a tiger and a remembrance tattoo for Jimmy Sullivan.Β
On my chest I have "Refuse to Surrender", on my stomach a heart in flames, on my right leg 2 elephants representing me and my mother, on my left leg a tribal-y thing. And the bass clef and treble clef behind my ears.
I think that's it. Haha.

Surprisingly it didn't. I thought it would hurt a lot, but it was just a bit uncomfortable because you have to lie in a position for the artist to reach the place well. My neck was a but stiff afterwards but that's all really

yeah, i would've thought it would be more painful because it's just skin and bone there, but it's good to know that it won't be excruciating! .. i still need to get up the guts to go and get one, i've been contemplating for two or three years now xD

For me, the most painful place was the top of my foot. Actually anything below the ankle. And my lower stomach.
My friend whatsoever said that her foot tattoo didn't hurt and all she felt was a tickle. I guess it really depends on the person and also what kind of tattoo you get. For me, the more shading I get, the more it hurts.

Agreed. I'm not getting near enough practice as I'd like, but I can't complain! Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays are the days I can exercise my artistic side! (: And I'll definitely be looking foward to those art pieces!

Out of curiosity, how long have you been drawing, do you know? And exactly... I didn't really see the point of DeviantArt until my little sister "forced" me to haha, but I do enjoy this website. I don't have many friends with an artistic side, so talking with all you guys and seeing what's put out there really gives me inspiration and it's just fun to make new friends over such an amazing subject as well!

Errm maybe 8 years? But it's been extremely irregular. I kind of muddled around (in a mediocre fashion) purely in ink until I started drawing cupcakes a couple of years ago, and then progressed to faces where my shading and drawing from reference abilities improved noticeably. I've still got a long way to go though. How long have you been drawing for?
Your sister knows what's up! xD and yeah, just browsing around really motivates me to draw. I think I might try the 365 days of doodles when the new year rocks up uninvited on my doorstep

yeah, i'm the same! this year i could actually see myself improving which motivated me to draw more (also i had no internet for five months) but it's kind of silly, because i shouldn't have waited for improvement before drawing more. do you have an artist you admire? on deviantart or otherwise?
nah, regarding making you sign up for deviantart! i think the 365 days thing would help with my accuracy when i'm sketching, even if i just end up drawing a splotch in the middle of the page and calling it abstract art for 100 days xD

Eight years isn't too bad. And I understand 100%. I liked drawing, but never really took it seriously until like two years ago maybe.. I've always loved drawing though ever since I could remember! Fine detail and shading are most definitely not my strong suit and I wish to get better at that. (:
And what? When she was regarding the watchers? (x I have to be in the mood to draw.. I don't think k could do it every day! :c lol
