Great work. How did you manage to make black so.. black and not grey.? (I can't do this no matter HB or 6B pencil I use.)
I like wrinkles on his shirt and lights on hair, however the left side of picture simply asks to be cropped or shaded smoothly. Same goes for bottom.

Thank you! About the black, I blame it on my scanner actually. It turns everything incredibly washed out, so to get the light parts to come out right, the dark parts have to get really dark. It might have something to do with the paper too I think.

And now that you mention it, I don't know why I didn't crop out the side and bottom before I put this up Thank you for pointing that out!

Well, I too edit colors with scanner, but they look more burned out and not natural at all to me. On the other hand, yours look great. That's a mystery I cannot solve. The paper, eh.? Not so sure, since it happened with various types of paper.

You're absolutely welcome, that little fault aside, this looks splendid. So does all of your pictures.

It's just regular printing paper I think. I found a blank A5 notebook lying around sometime back, so I just decided to make use of it. Nothing fancy really.

Thank you so much for the tip! I couldn't find this exact paper, so I just got the most similar one I could find. I'll give that a try, hope it works too. Once again, I really appreciate it, thanks!

Fantastic attention to detail on the skin and shirt, however there's something not quite right about where he grips the glass? I haven't seen the original photo though.
I recognized it straight away as Michael Fassbender though when scrolling through, even on icon-size.
Great work, great subject ;D

Thank you so much for your comments. The glass part was a bit hard to see in the original since it's right at the edge of the picture, but I'll go look at it again. Once again, I really appreciate it!
