After drawing www.deviantart.com/blueberryca… I decided to make another family picture with Helios and one of his lost pups. Other then the other two, Élodie and Hunter, Helios didn't miscarry the pup. Jason was stillborn.

Now as you can see this picture is another AU version of what could have happened if the baby survived. Helios would have lived happily with his son and mate Raphael in the mortal realm. (At least as long as Helios would have been able to neglect his godly duties.)

In the original version, however, thinks a different.

After the events with Simon, the other gods kept a close eye on Helios. Not trusting his actions, believing he killed him on purpose. Nobody seemed to care about his side of the story or where to busy to even try listening to him. The only god who would have listened to Helios is the snow god Ace. Who is his best friend. Unfortunately, he also couldn't be there for him because of his twin sister Yuki who is one of those gods who wished Helios wouldn't exist. Being an overprotective older sister she made sure Helios couldn't meet her brother and vice verse.

Having enough of nobody listening to him, Helios fled back to the mortal realm where he met Raphael Greywing.

Raphael and Helios first started out as friends but quickly became lovers over a while. The sun god was deeply in love with this bat but feared what happend with Simon would happen again. Especially after he found out that he was pregnant again. Helios kept his identity as a god hidden from Raphael and quitely flew away one day, planning to return after the baby was born.

Helios was so stressed out and nervous the entire time. He was really scared to have another miscarriage and about Raphaels reaction. What if he acted just like Simon? Or maybe worse?
And if those thoughts weren't awful enough the worst thing just had to happen to him. Jason was born but he wasn't alive. This was the worst moment in Helios life. Not only did he lose another child but also another love because there was no way he could tell Raphael what happened. Helios just went back to the gods realm and fell into depression for a long time until the goddess Flora helped him out of it. But that's a different story.

(I was thinking that Helios depression might have caused the last ice age but I don't know it would fit in the historical timeline.)
