*SHOVES APPS EVERYWHERE* I REGRET NOTHING I have waited for a billion years for this group to open /ZOOMS TO THE SUN "I'll dare to be different."
BASIC INFORMATION
Name: Elliot Fénité
Fairy Tale Character: Princess Margaret [Laidly Worm of Spindleston Heugh]
Age: 17
Gender: Male | ♂
Species: Silver Dragon
Height: 5'8 | 176cm
Weight: 158lb | 72kg
Birthday: April 7
Personality
Earnest | Studious | Hard-worker | People-pleaser | Stubborn | Sarcastic | Semi-Cynical | Traditional
A traditional fellow, raised in a life of privilege and having earned a living in a life of exile and squalor. The boy has a genuine love and appreciation for life and those who have earned their place in it... and will probably look down his nose to those who would rather toss it or people aside for their own frivolities.
The lives he's lived have left him a bit put out of society and the norms in general. While he easily fell into the world he was born into, the casting away from it forced him to harden up. He has an unfortunate black and white perspective on the world, in spite of silver/gray being his representative color. Though this doesn't mean he's unwilling to change his views on some things, he's simply pretty stubborn and sometimes too focused on the things that don't matter.
Elliot doesn't tend to fit in well with crowds, but he makes sure he stands out from them.
Background/Biography
Born and raised out in some far off land that loved to play with isolationism, Elliot's scale color dictated him as a member of royalty. Silver dragons were more rare than their counterparts in black and white, and thus he was held closed off from the public for much of his younger life. Spoiled rotten, he was, a terror of the mansion build into lava rock. He ruled in place of a black hybrid dragon gone AWOL, guided by an old and retired dragon into the royalty game. A game he lost, soon after an attack on home took away everything he knew, and thrust the boy out into a world on his own, forced to relocate to "safety" in the arms of "distant relatives" -- as in non-dragons. Wyverns. Wyrms. The creatures who envied his genetics and the people who changed him forever.
Living with them had him rid of his silver hair for the first time, forcibly dyed blonde to help him "fit in" better with the crowds around them. Of course, there was an air around him, even at the tender age of eleven, that showed he was not the same. He was of the elite, in their eyes... and it gave him enemies in those who should care for him. Envy and emotional abuse wasn't unheard of to teach the boy how to eat an entire humble pie, and exiled him from the crowd he had been forced into. It wasn't an ideal situation, and the worst came when he was forced to change, forced to shift by the head of the clan that had volunteered to take him in.
Taking the medium-shift of his dragon form, they slapped a curse on him, that leader. A curse that would leave Elliot stuck as that dragon form until he could be changed back by certain requirements; and the longer he stayed stuck, the less silver would remain in his scales, bleaching them white, and then gathering a golden tint to them. A falsity, forcing him to confront a side of draconic life that didn't belong to him. And he was stuck until they figured out what broke this curse.... Well. Beside the death of the one who laid it on him. That was enough to break it... somewhat. Enough to at least get him to shift back, painfully so, to his humanoid form. The curse has its clutches on him yet still, and so he seeks to know what the trigger is to the medium shift -- but that didn't mean he had to stick around in the "out" crowd to find out. Stealing himself away one night, he fled toward home, thinking he could just easily slip back to how it was, back when he was younger; this was not the case. They looked on his shifting scales in horror, disgust, and fury -- and the current stand-in King? Well, he sent Elliot away once more, this time to "fix" Elliot.
So here he is, at Ever After -- and he's not exactly happy about why... but the people are at least nice. So far.
MISC INFO I
Orientation: Unknown
Magic Type: Barrier/Wall Creation (Defensive)
Body Type: Slim, toned, "medium" for his height
Clothing: Vests and vests and double vests. Vests. Hmf.
Voice: JonTron
Sport/Club: Tennis
MISC INFO II
+ Has two dragon forms -- small and medium. Small is about a foot long, snakelike. Medium is komodo-dragon sized, about 8ft length wise. Has wings in both forms.
+ Cannot control dragonshifting; knows the trigger for small form is hot temperatures, unsure of medium's trigger.
+ Really dislikes the color gold and that's why I made him a gold student.
+ No, he cannot breathe fire. But his body temperature is resting 106 F.
+ His diet consists of seafood, usually raw. Nom nom sushi.
+ Can semi-shift on command, usually just with scales to places for defense or to show off. The wings are part of a permanent semi-shift.
+ Do not touch these wings, they're fragile and sensitive little flowers-
+ Hips and ears are hella sensitive.
+ To break the curse involves three kisses to the maw whilst in medium form. From someone who genuinely cares for him, be it friendly or familial (not to be confused with "true love's kiss"). Curse was laid on him because no one in the area he grew up in would dare lay their eyes or hands on the image of a false dragon.

Surrender suddenly appears before his fellow student with a flower in hand.
"Here you go~! Have this flower and make promise with me now that whenever a sad thought should pass through your mind on this holiday of love, that you look to your flower and remember you are treasured!"

Startled, he nearly drops the sushi he'd been nibbling on (a gift from a friend) at the surprising appearance of the other student. Oh, wait, he knew this guy -- from the failure cooking competition. Managing a smile and quickly sucking in the shrimp tail that had been hanging from his mouth after the startle, he reached out and took the flower.
"Hey... you too, yeah?" He should return the favor, he thought, as he tucked the flower into the pocket of his shirt, safe from the outside thanks to his shawl. Then he held out his hand, silvery-gold scales appearing on his arm, before he plucked one of them off. The interesting blend of colors shimmered in the light, and he passed it over to the fellow student.
"It's not much, but hey, have a dragon scale."

Hugo: Okay! So... *lears his throat* Once upon a time, in the mountains far away there once lived a giant, the spirit of the mountains. One day, he watched the princess of a nearby kingdom taking a bath near a waterfall. abducted her, brought her to his underground palace and showered her with precious present, to make her fall in love with him. But the princess missed her home and grew sadder and sadder by the day She missed her friends left behind on the surface. So the giant gave her a basket or turnip and a magical wand. He explained to her that she only needed to tap the turnips with the wand to make them turn into someone she wanted to have around. The princess created her friends and with every new one, she became happier and happier and also friendlier towards the mountain spirit. Thus, the giant decided to give her more turnips, all the turnips the had. However, over time, the people she princess had created became less and less vital and grew older every day. When they withered, the princess was furious with the giant, accusing him of doing that deliberately to her. He explained the magic depends on the sap of the turnips and they are now simply dried out. The princess demanded fresh turnips and the giant promised her to get her new ones from the field. Unfortunately, it was winter, so he told the princess to be patient until new turnips had grown. But while he was working hard on the field, the princess, instead of being grateful for all she had been given, remembered the prince she was promised to. So when the first turnips were delivered, she turned them into messengers to tell that prince what happened to her. At the same time, she told the giant that she was willing to marry him, but demanded a last proof of his love for her: he was to count all the turnips on his field. While he was working, she removed one and told him to count again, of course he noticed the difference and counted again, while she stole another turnip. She turned one of them into a flying horse and while he was still counting, she rode away to meet the prince. when the giant finally noticed he was being tricked, he could only throw a lightning bolt after the fleeing couple, but it missed.
*takes a deep breath* I honestly don't understand why the princess left though. I mean, she had everything she could want?

Elliot: *rapt, he listens to the story that the other tells, slowly closing his eyes to think of it as it continued to be told. He could see the story unfold like a movie behind his eyelids, and he hummed out faintly, wings spreading in a fashion that bespoke of his inner turmoil* I... don't know. The good guys aren't always the main characters of the stories. I personally like stories that do that, that make the good guy something or someone we wouldn't think they would be... though it does always hurt to have them cheated in the end. *he sighed softly and shook his head* People are inherently greedy, I think that was the moral to learn there.

Hugo: *smiles brightly at Elliot, as if to chase away unhappy thoughts* That sounds pretty good! Though... I had always thought it would mean something along the lines of 'Expect to be tricked when you're careless'. But maybe everyone takes away another moral from a good story. *tilts his head slightly* But why does it make you sad? They could always get back at those who cheated on them, couldn't they?

Elliot: *the bright smile wasn't unwelcome, and he exhaled with a sigh, to relax himself* That fits too-- yeah, you can learn a lot from stories like that. Everyone takes something different, that's for sure. *that was the nice thing about tales like that, to be sure* They could, but that would probably ruin the integrity of the characters. Then we wouldn't really take much from it, would we?

Elliot: *grins* All right so... so it's about a little girl, she's homeless and on the streets... and she's trying to sell matches to get money to get food. It's cold and icy, the middle of winter, and no one wants matches while they have fireplaces and the like at home. But only the girl knows, I believe, that the matches are magic... and when she toddles off to her little makeshift box home in some alley, and strikes up a match to keep herself warm. Though it's a small match, and can't give up much heat and warmth, and certainly not for a little girl. She strikes match after match of her box, and as the night progresses, and her fingers are getting burned, she starts seeing images in the flames. Premonitions maybe, or whispers of a what if life she could lead... and the way the original story goes is that she dies in that box with all the matches burned out, and people are sad to see a little match girl dead on the streets. But the happy end bit, I guess you can say... is that when she dies, she reunites with her grandmother in heaven, and has the opportunity to spend the holidays with someone she loves. *tilts head to the left and to the right* Not many people like that, so a rewritten version has her adopted by someone, to live a more fruitful life off the streets.

Hugo *listens with interest and no interruptions, taking in every word Elliot is saying* Hmm... *ponders about the story* I like it! But... something puzzles me about this... why didn't she use the match to light a big fire? Surely, there would be enough stuff around for this. Or maybe, she could have nicked food or picked a lock to get into a building nobody is currently using? This way, she wouldn't have to die, I think.

Elliot: My thoughts are that if she did, the people on the street would put it out, or freak out about it? I think it takes place in a time where everyone walked, before there were cars and all... *he rubbed his chin and shrugged* Maybe she represents innocence, and thus stealing or breaking in somewhere would have ruined what she symbolizes? I don't know... *still his favorite though*

Elliot: That's true -- that shows you the depth of the sight and subconscious of people, doesn't it? *chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck with a hum* So in some places, in spite of the ending, the story's still got a good light to shine on people in general. I'm happy for that. Which is why it's one of my favorites~ *grinned* But yours is lovely, too! Maybe we should sit down and talk some more about the books we read, heh? =v=
