Basic Blood Magic; Can create bloodstones, and may absorb some abilities of those whose blood inhabits the bloodstones they create. (Bloodstones are literally like candy to Autumn.) Effects are weak and temporary, but good in a pinch if necessary. Can also track certain people via the original bloodstones made in their first year, if necessary.

"What lurks behind those quiet eyes?"

A creature of habit, this one is. A follower, and by no means a leader, which is perhaps by all the loud and flamboyant characters are drawn to them. Only when things get to be too slow or too simple... or too out of the norm doe the impatient side of Autumn show -- in snappish actions, gestures, or words. They are definitely able to have an attitude, and this may have only been enhanced through continuous exposure to their roommates over time. Oddly... they don't seem to have a flare for the dramatic. Or even a remote appreciation of it...

Autumn is quiet in the most literal sense. They don't like to talk, would rather communicate through body or sign language, or chalk to chalkboard if at all possible, and sometimes will insist on it. In this quiet state, they're more prone to watch the people around them, watch how they interact with each other, and probably judge them pretty harshly behind those curious red eyes of theirs. Being quiet has its perks, because it's what allows for the quick jumps to surprise people, or to startle someone out of doing what they're doing.

Lately they've become rather well known for being a nuisance in places where they may not be needed... grabbing friends before they do stupid things and very literally just running off with them. Whether it's out of wanting to prevent them from doing something stupid or out of some other motivation isn't quite clear...

History

Pre-Otherworlde

Bookworms are born from the culmination of emotions when people read the soul-imbued book enough times to form attachment. Born from the pages of ink, Autumn took on a physical form representing their murder-mystery book in the most innocent of ways. The only idea of bloodshed found on their particular page is evident in their eyes... and maybe in the way they've lived to survive. Bookworms, being rumored to live off of souls (particularly of their readers) are lone creatures, for those who befriend them inevitably end up on the menu for when the soul craving comes around.

Autumn, however... was different. Their direct siblings of the murder-horror genre took enjoyment out of the hunt and bloody slaughter of their prey, out of slow devouring of the soul... Autumn took (and takes) no enjoyment. In fact, illness is what replaced endorphin rush... and they were unable to hide such a thing upon stumbling across one of their siblings' more... violent hunts. Unable to look past the horror and betrayal on the torn bodies' faces, Autumn could not eat the "leftovers" and in fact fled the scene. It was strange, but intriguing, and while their siblings argued about the younger's fate, they let them go, to see what would come of a bookworm with such... "humanness".

It culminated in a young Autumn being shuffled around foster families until being dropped into the laps of the brother of the victim, and his wife. Their niece had survived the murder of that night, and was trapped with Autumn for the duration of her fall break off from school; it didn't go quite well. While they "bonded" (really it was rather onesided, the girl seemed to have some major turn offs for the poor wormie), it allowed Autumn's siblings the chance to catch up to their wayward younger, and to realize they had the rest of a mess to clean up. In this clean up, Autumn was forced to devour the soul of the girl who had attached to them -- finding out partially because she had read their soul book and as a result, became the next imminent target. However, devouring the soul and the clean up was anything but actually clean -- when law enforcement arrived, Autumn was left to be framed for the murders and "cannibalism". Being too young for such a thing, reportedly anyway, Autumn was held at the station until they could find someone to come and pick them up, perhaps the next family listed to care for the underage "kid"?

All they found was a department full of slaughtered law enforcement, and Autumn nowhere in sight....

Y1 -- Otherworlde

Autumn somehow caught the attention of an incubus named Darcy Abbot nearly right off the bat of arriving, probably for looking "cute" -- and was sucked into a roommate situation with Darcy's friend Lilac, as well as the incubus himself. Things started out great, before Autumn realized several things all at once: 1) they absolutely hated how Darcy treated other creatures with his flirtatious ways, 2) they really loved everything on campus that could be eaten (IE everything), 3) alcohol was not something they could hold, 4) Lilac was really sweet smelling... tasting... and attractive all over.

Before classes even began, Autumn was surrounded with all the wonders they'd never experienced before, and was all too keen in experiencing them. Impulse led to them kissing their sweet-tasting roommate after being kissed by another student.... and impulse led them to eating ants in front of horrified students on the campus. Impulse led to a lot of things, rather -- bravely approaching another silent student and becoming her mentor as well as friend... and not to mention picking a fight with someone a foot taller than them. Autumn quickly established themselves as someone who was good at observing, as well as literally snapping at unwanted fingers, and when studies finally came around, they excelled in their class. Sure, it came with a fairy companion they didn't necessarily want but... they found a kinship with their bookie of a professor! Who knows what Autumn is... haha... haaaa....

Summer promised a break, but for having passed only one class, Autumn was forced to enroll in others. Both of their roommates failed, but that's okay, Autumn has no judgment to hold over them. For now during the hot summer months, Autumn will just try to juggle their studies... tournament watching... and these odd bubbling feelings for a certain pastry devil that just won't go away....

Misc. Information

In being emotionally unstable, it's usually affected by the level of hunger that the wormie faces. Seems Autumn's in a constant state of needing to nibble on things, for whatever reason...
The Glasgow Grin is a hellish grin that jaggedly splits Autumn's face when they get to be a little TOO hungry. It's a warning sign of the second hunger, and it literally tears Autumn's skin from ear to ear, distorting their voice if they try to talk.
Has a stuffed chicken in the shape of a cube that they tend to throw at Darcy at prime moments.
Autumn's particular page of association is 94, tattooed on their left shoulderblade.
They gave themselves the name "Autumn" because of the leaves they conjure up all the time.

Probably would consider the redhead demon one of their dearest and best friends, honestly.

Though they do their best to shake such thoughts and just focus on the present -- Lilac is the reason behind the tulips, and also a direct catalyst to a lot of Autumn's more... "romantic" impulses.

With the defrost came the necessary knowledge that the end of the term was upon them, and with that, the bookworm was off into the Castle, to take a good look around what could be found in terms of other classes to take. They loved the Linguistics courses, of course, and thought about continuing along those classes, but what if there was something else that interested them? So into the Castle and into the main lobby did they go, where the course catalog sat per usual, on its stand.

Behind Autumn's steps scattered a few leaves. The Castle wasn't really a place that they tread very often... it was a bit too spooky for their taste, and a lot of mishaps tended to happen over in the Lounge, to boot. Today seemed quiet, however, perhaps with people getting ready for the tournament or the like? Regardless, Autumn opened the heavy tome with a wide-eyed red stare, eyes focused on the first department that they'd randomly flipped to -- Potions. "Hmm..."

Darcy- || It took a bit, but Darcy really grew on Autumn. A startling thing, to realize they really care about the incubus to actually try and keep the kid out of trouble... to near obnoxious levels. Though Darcy's level of, er, flamboyance and flirting quickly annoy Autumn, Darcy's someone Autumn doesn't exactly want to say goodbye to. Probably would consider the redhead demon one of their dearest and best friends, honestly.
Dhakiyah- || They had an assignment to do once with Dhakiyah's brother, and got a package deal. They were both pretty cool, and she's got pretty eyes, Autumn would say.
Diya- || They were paired for an assignment and Diya came in a package deal with his sister. Overall not a bad experience... a bit weird, but not bad.
Edin- || The flamboyance, the fakeness, the... geesh. They didn't mean to butt heads with the mage at first meeting, but man... whatever.
Émaía/Emma- || UGH.
Jasper- || A professor who seems to know a lot, who's read a lot of the same books as Autumn, and knows Autumn's secret as a bookworm. However, Autumn feels a kinship with the djinn because of this, seeking to both befriend and impress the blond... somehow. SOMEHOW.
Lilac- || \Autumn doesn't know what to place these feelings as, and it scares them... but not to the point they reject the feelings -- quite the opposite. What scares them more is how Lilac of all people would react to Autumn being a bookworm, a creature meant to devour. Though they do their best to shake such thoughts and just focus on the present -- Lilac is the reason behind the tulips, and also a direct catalyst to a lot of Autumn's more... "romantic" impulses.
Luca- || The angel seems nice enough anyway, but in the wake of all the SUDDEN attention to the beanie, Autumn just as many mixed feelings. Cry.

Autumn: *and they chose that moment to walk in, hands already plucking at the gloves they wore, a fresh band aid on their cheek* ... >-> We aren't... *they had no idea where Lilac was at the moment, probably baking with that elementalism professor (Chrono?) or something* *but Autumn wasn't exactly hostile, tugging the beanie off their head with a tiny sigh* How you? *they were trying to make an effort to speak more, at Lilac's insistence, but it wasn't often they had time alone with Darcy. Maybe this could be a good chance to sit and get to know the other...*

Literature Sample:
With the defrost came the necessary knowledge that the end of the term was upon them, and with that, the bookworm was off into the Castle, to take a good look around what could be found in terms of other classes to take. They loved the Linguistics courses, of course, and thought about continuing along those classes, but what if there was something else that interested them? So into the Castle and into the main lobby did they go, where the course catalog sat per usual, on its stand.

Behind Autumn's steps scattered a few leaves. The Castle wasn't really a place that they tread very often... it was a bit too spooky for their taste, and a lot of mishaps tended to happen over in the Lounge, to boot. Today seemed quiet, however, perhaps with people getting ready for the tournament or the like? Regardless, Autumn opened the heavy tome with a wide-eyed red stare, eyes focused on the first department that they'd randomly flipped to -- Potions. "Hmm..."
